I assume this building had a Honeywell W247A system when it was first built in the 1960s. I think it would be cool if you could salvage original backboxes if the building is slated to be demolished
there's an office complex from the 70s in the rubber city suburb of Fairlawn that has a whole system of MA/SS units with the later ADA strobes.
I don't think they removed and scrapped the "4037s" because they don't mount on a standard back box

Interesting alarm system here. The current notification appliances installed here look to be a product the 1990s, when there seemed to be a lot of new technologies being introduced. For instance, these are electronic horns with clear ADA strobes, but they predate the standard temporal 3 fire alarm tone and probably strobe synchronization as well.
I’m moving into a college dorm in about a month that as of last year had Gentex speakers/strobes, the older ones that look like Wheelock ET-1070 clones but have the GXS style strobes with the color matched red body. (I also found some 1st gen SpectrAlert speakers/strobes in certain renovated areas.) The fire alarm panel at that time was an FCI 7200 from the 90s. (I doubt they replaced the system over the summer, however they did get new windows installed in that building, so maybe other things were updated.) Not sure how it sounds/sounded, but I’m guessing it most likely has/had a whoop tone with no voice message. I guess it’s a voice evacuation system, or at least a system of speaker/strobes, but from a similar era to the one shown here, with no sync, and probably no temporal 3.
Certainly an upgrade from my dorm last year: that building’s system was put in around the same time but had piercingly loud GX90 mini horns!

the honeywell horns are extremely quiet actually. These ones were dc and they were very quiet. AC is a different story..

Dirt is any matter considered unclean, especially when in contact with a person's clothes, skin, or possessions. In such cases, they are said to become dirty. Common types of dirt include:
Debris: scattered pieces of waste or remains
Dust: a general powder of organic or mineral matter
Filth: foul matter such as excrement
Grime: a black, ingrained dust such as soot
Soil: the mix of clay, sand, and humus which lies on top of bedrock. The term 'soil' may be used to refer to unwanted substances or dirt that are deposited onto surfaces such as clothing.[1]

I don't just need a break from the Notifier Voice Evac. I need a break from the electronic horns. D:
(Yes I know that is not possible. Just saying.)
