I was looking at this exact model yesterday in the dealership. Considering it. I like it quite a bit however there are a few things I wish Toyota would address. 1.6? In the United States the 1.8 is the base engine and the 2 L is available. 1.6 is really under powered. Likewise, if you get the CVT, which you must if you have the V trim, this is the inferior one, not the one with an actual first gear used in the ones with the 2 L engine. No radar cruise control available. No blind spot warning available.
Sean Padua The hatchback is actually quite different from the sedan. It is not technically even made by Toyota. Is made by Daihatsu. For that reason I would not want it. In the US however you can get the sedan with the 2 L and a six speed manual.

I agree Kevin. I wish we had the same options as with the US. I really like the corolla Hatchback with the 6speed manual transmission.
