This is a beautiful rendering of Gene Lees most intriguing composition, you read and sing the lyrics in a manner in which I feel he would approve of. I particularly like the way you drop an octave for the last line... "whispering your name"... it is tempting to give it the big finish, but we have enough "singers" whispering out loud. Great backing group too. I love it. five stars * * * * *
A hello from New Zealand. Youve reduced a strong, proud man to tears and so I Thank you. Maybe it's cause I've slept 6 hours in the last 4 days. Maybe it's cause it's because the lyrics are perfectly poetic and beautiful. However, the one thing I know for certain, is because you have a beautiful God given voice that is raw and portrays pure emotion while being so controlled. Thank you again. Thank you.
The most soulful and heartfelt rendition of this song that I have heard. I have seen Tony Bennett's version as well as Shirley Bassey's version, but you sir are a class act and bring so much to the table. I have only praise to offer you and your absolutely wonderful band. I thoroughly enjoyed your performance. I should have expressed my gratitude earlier.
You certainly do justice to this song and beyond! You have great feeling and passion when you sing, Sir! I'm sure even Tony Bennett would agree with me!
You, sir have given this beautiful classic song a version above all the others. It’s a pity that my wife and I didn’t get to watch and listen to you. 🥲😍
Arthur, Pure class performance. Love that song and u do it justice. Greetings from your biggest fan in Ireland. U should do " The Music Played" by Matt Monroe. Suit u Keep it going, u bring such great pleasure to us music lovers.
everytime i go to sleep i always listen to art manuntag song after a hard and dangerous work as police officer , it releases my stress hope u can sing for my wife birthday on nov 8 , kaya lang bka malaki budget d kaya ng pulis hehehe
Great Interpretation of Armando Manzanero's "Esta Tarde Vi Llover." The translation is completely different but I guess it was approved by the Mexican composer. Both are great stories and I congratulate the English version writer. Love this version and interpretation.
Hi there sanbeda23, thanks so much for your kind words and i want u to know that you just made my day... wow! so wonderful and encouraging comments... thanks for swingin by, CHEERS!
Hi Arthur I left a comment here 7 years ago and I just read it. I did compare you to the best singers, I m sorry for doing so you are in a class by itself, no comparison you have done this song like no one else before you, keep it up and take care, Omar
I saw you perform this song with Mon David last night in Cerritos, CA. YOU were brilliant. I promise to look you up and catch your gigs the next time I'm in Manila.
Thanks for sharing and doing great justice to my favorite song from way back. Great voice, Bro. Are you still singing regularly? Where? I might drop by when I visit PH. The missus and I are enjoying your youtube posts. Blessings, and keep singing!
Arthur, why is everyone a critic on You Tube. You have so much control over your volume, pitch, vibrato and all those tone colors you can add , take away and change at will . The ending octave drop on "whispering your name " is difficult. do you do " The Gentile Rain " or " What are you doing the rest of your life " ? Thanks for all you fine vocal videos.
one of my fav songs done beautifully by mr bennett and so many others including mr manzanero who wrote it in spanish originally but arthur hey u re there side by side with the greatest come to the usa give a concert and i assure i will take a bunch of my filipino friends with me
I wish I could tag "like" everytime i listen to this song, unfortunately it is a one time deal. RIP Arthur but your song LIVES ON!

Tony Bennet?
Thank you very much!:)
So sad he passed away....
RIP
I closed my eyes and could have sworn it was Tony Bennett. Great phrasing. Beautiful song.
gadeng, sounded like Tony Bennett
it clearly says cover in the title ;)
great song and I actually like your rendition better than the great Tony Bennett's version. Very impressive. all the best to you.
I know too much. The back up is a bit too busy. It trips up the pace of the vocal and competes with it.
how old is he ? no wiki no google ..where was he born ? ..with a voice like his how can there be no info about him..
Andrew V Med hi He was frim the Philippines... so sad he passed away three years ago.
Tony Bennett is the greatest singer ever!
similar to another filipino balladeer jun polistico. .
