Ive had a unit for over a year now. Had a problem with it and sent it back and received a new one within a week. It is great quality and I can't even notice the cut-off. The only problem I have is that the battery does not last as Silnyx advertises.
If its like the C4OPS ear pieces, the older green/ yellow Army combat hearing pro works too. Just pull the yellow end off and it plugs into the ear buds like the Peltor screw type. I didn't like the foamy ones that came with the kit either; my ear canals are too damn big for foamies to stay in. I know Peltor makes a green/ yellow version as well; but, we had the Army version laying around and they worked.
Any thoughts on their control boxes with comms PTT capabilities? In particular, the Clarus and Fortis systems. They seem to be fairly capable on paper. Thanks
I hope they make a Bluetooth version in the near future. Passing this on to my buddy has been running regular ear buds up under his Howard Leight Ear Muffs.

great video man, just a question or two regarding the sylinx. the volume button on the control box. can you hold down the button to quick cycle through the volume options or do you have to tap through each option? does it hold memory or do I need to switch through the options each time I turn it on?

Have you tried these with surefire sonic defenders?I hear depending how the ear bud is you can unplug the filter on them and insert the ear bud piece. Really considering these for working at the range with 50s and obnoxious muzzle brakes under my sordins.
I just use the bose headphones you are wearing when shooting pistols. Well, until the glue that held the ear buds together degraded. Upgraded to the wireless ones for free at best buy.
titanscerw Yes very much so. Comfortable, safe to communicate with people on the line, and you can step back and take a phone call if you need to without removing your ear pro.
I am late to the party - but I would NEVER recommend Silynx to a single person... ever. I have had their FX2 and Clarus XPR and NEITHER would hold up to duty use. First: If you are using a TDMA based radio (for police that means P25 Phase 2 or DMR)... you WILL get RF leakage into the PTT and you'll hear motorboating over your RX and TX audio. The FX2... broke twice. The XPR is still in my collection but it is USELESS. I still have the motorboating issue no matter what - and to make matters worse it doesn't matter how well I position the earbuds in my ears... my audio sounds like dog shit to everyone else. There's a reason Invisio and Nacre/Honeywell used bone conduction... it worked. But you'll never see me recommend Silynx to someone until they can get the product issues worked out... issues I tried to work with them for almost a year over until they sent me the XPR and essentially said "bug off".

NC Hammer starts on medium everytime, BUT rapid pressing on the button cycles about 1 setting per second or a little faster.
Just move to Alabama. The state has some tax incentives for vets... Huntsville is a pretty good place.
I have a few Nacre QuitePro. Thing is a brick but works for what I need. Eats up alot of space.
