Finally passed the no fail test at 25. Your work on 25 yard shooting has highly elevated my game and my teaching ability.

I picked one of the meanest USPSA classifiers for my last match. 08-01 4 Bill drill. Surprising how many people shot better on the support hand only than the strong hand only rounds. I mean its a whole wide open USPSA target but people had more mikes strong hand only at 15 than weak hand only at 15.

I love this guy! A wealth of knowledge... It would be awesome to have a chance to pick his brain for a week! Drinking out of a firehose! Thanks Chuck!

In the olden times I was an instructor at MISS and Chapman Academy we taught turning the wrist inboard because that is supposed to be where your grip is strongest and it's the natural position when you throw a punch, if you just punch your fist out without thinking about it your wrist will be canted. For recoil management on multiple targets shooting one handed if you shoot right to left when shooting right hand only and vice versa you take advantage of the natural recoil tendencies to push inwards.

The rifling in larger calibers imparts a twist through the gun durring recoil. It will be more noticeable with one hand. Also, slightly canted is a more natural way to hold your hand.

Chuck, been following your posts since the LF days. I'm working on aligning the planets to get in to a No Fail Pistol class, but thank you for being a voice of reason and a resource for our community.

    Thanks Chuck!
As embarrassing as it would probably be for me, I still hope to attend on of your No Fail Pistol classes ASAP.

Now I know! It’s all in my head. I wondered why I can shoot better weak hand only rather than stong hand only. My week hand hasn’t been trained to flinch. Thanks!!!

Thanks Chuck, good information as always. I think what you're saying ~ 5:35 is pretty significant.

New to your channel. Do you have a begginer, intermediate and advanced shooting standards section? Some drills with times and distance assigned to them. Looking to check off boxes but don't have any baselines to work from. Thanks

Good stuff, yup one handed red dot is different...lol. I recently tossed a dot on one of my 17s, inspired by yourself, Jedi, and my 53 year old eyes, but after the first 500 rounds I still shoot better, even at 25, with irons. I'm a 95 guy at 25 slow fire with irons. I know I'm "snatching" the trigger because I'm trying to "catch" the dot on the X. I know I'm supposed to accept the wobble, but any thoughts on how to break this freakin impulse to catch it on the X?

You can't fall in love with the most perfect sight picture ever. You MUST apply ever increasing pressure while maintaining that acceptable wobble zone and let the pistol discharge SOMEWHERE in the "figure 8" that hopefully you are able to contain within the ten ring.

You said "left of bang" during the part on jerking the trigger when it's actually an anticipation problem. Have you read Left Of Bang or taken any courses in your career that relate to the book as far as combat profiling, situational awareness or human psychology in conflict goes?
And thank you for another great upload, I plan to run an RMR on my FNX 45 Tactical this weekend and it will be my first time running a 45acp pistol with a rds mounted on it. Wish me a great deal of learning when I run weak hand!
