The Call Of The Mountains and The Silver Sister are awesome songs by them. Call Of The Mountains is a lot softer and doesn't have the gritty vocals whereas The Silver Sister is a mix of the gritty vocalist and the clean vocalist who only appeared to be screaming with the unclean vocalist on the video to King. All three of these songs are off of the same album which is called Origins which is my favorite album of theirs.
They are unique for sure, i like their songs where Anna is "also" singing maybe a little more. (A Rose for Epona, Call of the Mountains, Omnos and many more) But the instrumentals are gorgeous in here. There newer stuff is also good but for me its not as good as their older stuff.
@@markthedark595 thanks I’ll do that. The only problem with finding so much new music to listen to over the last three years is trying to listen to it all with the only two ears and 24 hours a day we were given. 😂😂
For me personally, Eluveitie is much better when they leave away the growls, or at least bring more of the female vocals to the front, which happens in many songs. BTW, three members of the band you saw here, namely Anna Murphy (Hurdy Gurdy player and former female lead vocalist), Ivo Henzi ( Guitar) and Merlin Sutter (Drums) left the band in 2016 together. There were some conflicts within the band at that time. Those three formed a new band called "Cellar Darling" which is absolutely amazing in my opinion. They have a interesting mix of heavy progressive folk rock. They have some straightforward pop metal songs but most of their songs are deep in the progressive, sometimes slightly gothic realm. The latest album "The spell" is such an underrated piece of art. I know you don't react to suggestions from the fanbase, but maybe some patreon subscriber looks into them and requests a song. They deserve much more coverage than they get.
A great song in the folk metal genre, and it's a bit disappointing that this genre is mostly unclaimed on the channel. I completely agree with Mr. DH about the vocals, there is clearly a lack of pure female vocals, with this component, this song would be perfect.
I enjoy Eluvietie, but I generally prefer songs with less growling. Aidus...love love love. But this is the band that showed me I dont hate bagpipes...just the 2-3 songs bagpipes are generally associated with.
Hey!! Maybe you won't see this comment, but can you react to Blame It On Me by TWICE??? there is a lyric video and a live performance, you choose what you think it's better
Was lucky enough to see Eluvietie live last year and they were excellent, definitely worth catching if they come your way. They do have a female vocalist as well doing (mainly) clean vocals so hopefully you get to see some of that in future reactions. Best wishes from over the pond 😊
Their newer stuff is amazing too. Rebirth, Aidus and Exile of the Gods is pure bliss.. and does have clean vocals too
Aidus melted my face off whilst smoothing my back
Their newer material is honestly better.
@@vincentfalcone9218 I like their older stuff though it had a raw edge to it
This is my type of metal

Love Eluveitie. But you already reacted to them ;) to their song Helvetios ;)
Been a fan of this band for quite a while and I'm glad it has debuted here on the channel. My favorite song from them is "Inis Mona"
Thanks for reacting to music from my home country Switzerland 🇨🇭🤘😄
This song is awesome! I love this band completely, they have so much great music.

👍 I enjoyed this performance. 🖖❤
I know your not into the grit and growl but i love the brutality of it against the melodic music
I think I’ll have to check out some of there stuff with a mix of clean and grit vocals because this band would be next level with that mix.
Check out The Silver Sister from the same album as King. It's exactly that.

They are supposed to have Melodic Death Metal undertones
Eko & Vinda Folio - სისტემა უნდა დაინგრეს (The System must be destroyed) react please.
There is melodic line there took me ages to find it but on the last chorus there is a clean line done by the female vocalists
However I will say this I respect your opinion DH because at the end of the day if we all liked the same stuff the world would just be a boring place
This is a really cool band that I think you would like to explore more.
Btw, have you picked up the new Aviations album?

There is pure female vocals in the last chorus you have to search for it

Wardruna may be?
Not what I was expecting
