I have a penchant for products created by ordinary people who after failing to find a professional solution to a problem they encounter, take it upon themselves to make one for anyone else that might have the same problem. They always feel like they have a lot more "heart" to them, even if they aren't particularly great products
Wow. This looks pretty legit and I love the story behind it! The owners seem really nice to be honest, and I love how they actually had to learn how to do it and started their own company. Of course, in that situation I’d rather just teach my children how to use a keyboard and now computers work from a young age like my dad taught me though. I was brought up using a few old laptops to play games off of floppy discs and CD-R’s, and that meant I knew not to mash buttons and delete everything like a giant idiot. However I still got the keyboard massively dirty like the idiot I was, so maybe that peanut-butter proofing would’ve been useful.
I mean yeah but this feels like it's more for peace of mind that if the child's mother is cleaning or something and the kid gets his hands on the computer she doesn't have to worry about the kid deleting data or screwing it up and mom has to wait for dad to get home after work to drop that nuke on him.
Well, it's a keyboard for kids five and under. Some of those children might actually put their teeth on them. You're just minding your own business, turn around, and find out that your toddler is chewing and licking the keyboard for no earthly reason.
So what did you do today? 99% of people: "Put in 8 hours of backbreaking, mind-numbing labor." Clint: "I played Duke Nukem then spread peanut butter all over a child's keyboard."
Ladderthief1 You must have reminded him of labor, the soul crushing reality of having to work for a corporation so you can marginally afford necessities. I just made a fresh batch of Kool-Aid and can't wait. It's black cherry!
I think the Peanut Butter test needs to be a recurring bit. Looks like a nice product for what it’s meant to be, god knows my kid loves smashing my laptop as I use it, would make a nice tool today
These keyboards are cool for kindergarten class, I remember similar keyboards for the Apple iMac that were colorful and were durable enough for little kids.
YOU MADMAN! No one would use a keyboard that dirty! The idea is, it survives the milk spill and then gets cleaned before it’s used, because as I know from when I was a 5 year old, spilling a drink on a keyboard kills it effectively as it‘s never the same again, but the milk can’t get in than the keyboard would survive.
"-Why are you watching a guy smear peanut butter, chocolate syrup and milk on a keyboard and play Duke Nukem?" "-Because I've lost control of my life." Alternative joke: Boy, I've heard of PeanutButterGamer, but this is just ridiculous!

That used to be the baseline for ignorant. Now the common denominator is SOOOOOOOOOOOO much lower. You should check out with documentary called Idiocracy.
I still stand by my definition of ignoramuses! Ignorant people wouldn't know what to do once they disassembled something. My friends once tried to fix our friend's printer, so they took it apart, assembled it back, and figure out it must have had many "extra" parts inside, which were now lying around the room after they finished "fixing" it. xD Suffice to say it never worked again. Not THAT's true ignorance. The state before you reverse engineer something is more like ... just not having experience with that particular blueprint.
Give 'em props -- it does what it says on the tin! And I find it amusing that you've used membrane keyboards far worse, from companies that presumably knew what they were doing from the word go, instead of a couple who had to learn as they went. XD That peanut butter/chocolate sauce/milk test was hilarious and kind of awesome in its own way. If only modern keyboards were that hardy!
