Nice job CM. Great info as usual. One tip that I got years ago that made a big difference in my ability to walk a bait (frog in my case) was to point the rod tip back towards the bait after you snap the rod. It forces you to put a little slack in the line. I started doing it in an exaggerated way to start and just sped it up as I got more comfortable doing it. Now it’s second nature. Great content.
SawGrassBassin I couldn’t be consistent with a cadence until a guy in my club told me that tip. It took some work, but it paid off.
Thanks for the suggestions on picking baits. As someone just getting back into fishing for bass after close to three decades away from it, the information really helps me cut down on the utterly amazing range of lure brands, colors, styles, and sizes available now compared to the late 1980s and early 1990s when I was last able to get serious about chasing bass.

Great tips, I also like a #2 double clip snap for topwater baits with a mono leader. I like some of the old school baits as well... Arbogast, Heddon, Smithwick, etc...

I love your videos man I taught my self how to fish when I was freshman in highschool had nobody to learn from but your videos are an inspiration and a tool for new comers and guys like me that still don't know everything I thank u for that I hope to see more videos with u and your tips in it I'm curious to see what your take on buzz baits that's one my favorite lures

Love Capt. Mikey! As a novice I've learned a lot from his videos as well other Kast King videos! Just received my Speed Demon reel as well as my Jerk Bait and Worm/Jig rods which I cannot wait to try out!

I like to remove the hooks and replace the back hook with a wide gap worm hook and add a worm. Boom weedless spook.
