That's a good topic. I will most likely go into that when I get into the structure of blood vessels. It might be a few weeks before I make it there though.
It could be an indication of damage to red blood cells (hemolysis). That releases hemoglobin causing the plasma to be more red. It's the kind of thing that should be evaluated by a healthcare professional.
