    I think you missed the concept of Ev= Pv
    Thats a major part of revised schedule
    But the sample project you have taken
    It doesnt have any progress so you did like that
    However
    If there is an actual progress ?
    Do upload a video on revised schedule with actual progress so many engineers can get this information

      Thank you for your suggestions.
      After eliminating the baseline, your EV=PV should be equal if the schedule is updated accurately and you were updating the dates and durations during the daily, weekly, and monthly updates.
      However, it is in our plan to upload a separate tutorial on, how to do PV=EV after removing the baseline and how to update the schedule to avoid this issue.

      EV=PV is most critical in creating revised schedule, waiting for the video please@@PLANNINGP6

      @@hasanmasud10010 . Indeed, we are aware that this is the most important aspect. As soon as we can, we will upload a tutorial on the same topic.

    Hi so from the existing update baseline just convert this to new baseline.

    • @PLANNINGP6
      @PLANNINGP6  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Preparing recovery or revised schedules is a very common task during project execution, monitoring and controlling. When there is a slippage in the project finish forecast date or scope addition or omission or a change in the construction methodology or constructability method, the schedule baseline is no longer effective in the monitoring and controlling process. Therefore, a recovery or revised schedule should be prepared, approved and maintained as a new baseline to monitor and control the project.
      ✅Revised Schedule:
      If there is a slippage in the project forecast finish date because of one of the above-mentioned factors and the slippage is so much that the project completion date is no longer realizable, the client may request, and the contractor may submit a revision of the schedule with a new, realistic completion date.

    how about they give extension of time but same contract amount?

    • @PLANNINGP6
      @PLANNINGP6  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Dear, it is a contractual matter if they approve the time without any cost, that means your delays were non-compensable.

  • @carlodigma819

    They just give me extension of time but same budgeted cost

    • @PLANNINGP6
      @PLANNINGP6  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      🔴Yes, just revised the schedule with the same cost. Date change, change in scope or change in cost causes revised schedule.
      🔴For More Clarification:
      While revising a project schedule, it's important to understand how changes in date, scope, and cost are interrelated and how they can impact each other. Here's a breakdown of these factors and how they influence revised schedules:
      ✅Change in Date:
      ➡️With no change in scope or cost: This scenario, as you mentioned, can occur when an extension of time is granted without any adjustments to the budget or project deliverables. The revised schedule simply reflects the extended timeframe, but the overall activities, resources, and cost remain the same.
      ➡️With a change in scope or cost: If the project needs additional time due to unforeseen circumstances, this could potentially lead to changes in the scope of work (e.g., reduced features) or increased costs (e.g., overtime pay) to accommodate the revised timeline. In this case, the revised schedule would need to reflect the adjusted scope and cost alongside the extended timeframe.
      ✅Change in Scope:
      ➡️With no change in date or cost: This situation is rare but can potentially occur if the new scope requires less time or resources than initially planned. However, it's crucial to ensure sufficient time is allocated for the revised scope to avoid compromising quality.
      ➡️With a change in date or cost: More commonly, changes in scope often lead to adjustments in the schedule and cost. Adding new tasks or expanding existing ones extends the timeline, while eliminating tasks might create slack in the schedule. Similarly, increased complexity of the work might require additional resources and result in higher costs.
      ✅Change in Cost:
      ➡️With no change in date or scope: This scenario is uncommon but could arise due to unforeseen cost fluctuations (e.g., material price increase) even with no change in the project timeline or scope.
      ➡️With a change in date or scope: Often, changes in cost accompany adjustments to the project timeline or scope. For example, extending the project duration might increase labor costs, while reducing the scope might result in cost savings on resources and materials.
      ✅In summary, while it's possible to revise the project schedule simply by changing the date without impacting cost (as in your revised example), it's essential to consider the potential consequences. Ensure the additional time is well-utilized and doesn't lead to other project constraints like resource conflicts or cost overruns. Remember, changes in any of these factors (date, scope, cost) can trigger revisions to the other two aspects, requiring careful analysis and adjustments to maintain project success.

    Question
    After assigning baseline schedule ,and during schedule update ,modification to links,Od ,resources are prohibited ? Plz clarify and confirm

  • @khaledAhmed-eb4be
    @khaledAhmed-eb4be ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks very much ,but have question you have made change to OD only .
    Question , Is it allowed to change relations type between activities, and make linking with other different activity ? Disolve predessor and assign another activity .
    If sequence of work changed from previous schedule .
    Q 2 out of sequence activity , if activities is executed but in different sequence , can we change baseline to match actual sequence ? Feel this is complicated .

    Why can't we add one more baseling instead of removing baseling , because initial baseline data will be lost

    • @PLANNINGP6
      @PLANNINGP6  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can add three baselines after approval of the revised schedule.
      But for the preparation of baseline you have to remove all baseline to change the dates and durations and add or modify your exiting strategies.
