I've been watching at "AMV" with fascinated eyes since i was 13 (now i'm 28), I always watched at them thinking "i'll never be able to make something this good" and they were plenty of transitions and complicated stuff over after effects... today I know they were not the real reason why those videos were cool, you don't need fancy stuff to make good things. Now i'm a motion graphic designer, i know how to make the fancy stuff, and I can point at this as the perfect example of what a video REALLY needs: Timing and flow. No fancy effects, no complicated transitions, just perfect cuts and harmonious flow of the video. Bravo.
