So nice to hear Bon speaking - even though born a Scot - grew up in Australia - epitomises what a true Aussie bloke was like in those days - RIP Bon - we salute you 🇦🇺🥁⚡️🎸 🏴
@@freakybeaky1 I think I heard that interview mate.. in those early days AC/DC were treated like rubbish by the Aus mainstream media.. even some of the towns didn’t let them play (more fool them!).. What a massive talent Bon is! Missed, but never forgotten. His lyrics are pure mastery...less is more...and always, always, always perfect. An elite, charasmatic performer who was his own person all the way through. He has had a massive impact on so many lives, as have ACDC. Simply brilliant. Honestly believe he is Rocks best lyricist....so good. No other band has permeated the global Zeitgeist as much as ACDC....maybe Elvis .....then Stones, Led Zepp, Beatles ...but ACDC top dog. Lead Singers at this level are special .....overflowing with charisma: - Elvis - Michael Hutchence - Bon Scott - Jim Morrison - Freddie Mercury - Robert Plant - Axl Rose ** any order ACDC with Bon & Angus were a Full THROTTLE thrill ride, every show. The 2 pronged freight train was unstoppable. # 1 Powerhouse Professional RocknRoll Band!! LOVE BON SCOTT!
In the mid to late 70's I was a port of call in the life Bon had on this earth. We lived, we loved and we laughed. I miss him to this day. His spirit has never left me.
@@Okaasan2010 Glad you shared some happiness with Bon. My family lived about a stone's throw from the Largs Pier Hotel in Adelaide back in Oct 1974 where AC/DC played their first gig with Bon as their lead singer. Funny how after all these years there are many scots on youtube claiming him and AC/DC as their own, denying where they came from. I can't think of anyone that reminds me more of growing up in the 70s in Adelaide than Bon and the band. Listening to his accent is like going back in time. A loveable aussie larrikin if there ever was one. All the best to you.
Agree. And as much as I hate to say it, the real heart and soul of the band was Bon and that really died with him. I believe Back In Black contains a lot of Bon’s lyrics and inspiration (Angus even said all the music was completed before Bon’s death), but afterwards it was all downhill from there. I still enjoy all the post-Bon albums, but the real magic of AC/DC were the Bon years.
Whiskey before during and after every show 😂also notice through the interview how you hear more and more female voices - what a rockstar. please HBO or Netflix make it happen
Aw what super interview. A gem in time. I hung on his every word. When he mentioned “Glasgow” (Glassgow😂) where I’m from. My heart slipped a beat. Yes, he was a proud Scot and proud of that fact that he hailed from Kirriemuir. Can ye hear it in his voice? Gon yersel son! This year he would have been 71 and still rockin’ his a*** off if here were still kicking’ about. The lightning bolt in the middle. ⚡️ We miss you Bon. We still love you. We will never...ever...forget the legacy you gave us...your rocking fans. Wherever you are (and no, it ain’t hell), Have a drink on me. ⚡️🥃🤘🏻
Não é louco que um cara em Fortaleza City aqui no Brasil está escutando essa entrevista gravada para um jornal de estudante em Birmigham 45 ANOS DEPOIS? Será que o cara imaginaria que essa entrevista chegaria tão longe?
Thank-you for this! Somebody fix the blue ray movie " Let there be Rock" Get rid of the dialogue and fix the sound to not sound Mono. Great movie of AC/DC at the end in December 79. Please fix it!
A recording engineer told me it can't be made to sound better because the recording was mono. To me that is Big BS! Look what George Martin did with the early Beatle mono recordings. They sound really good in time delayed stereo and decent EQ. Add some rear channel delay. Also make the concert a continuous experience and get the dated videos into bonus features. Make it the uninterrupted concert experience it should have been! Puleeezeee!
ACDC wouldn't left Burwood if it wasn't for Bon.. He was the vital ingredient. Yes Angus and malcum and George were brothers and George was in the easybeats, that in itself was the trigger for malcum and Angus to have a go, but Bon was ACDC
Just such a lovely decent man. Wonderful to hear his voice again.
Brought a tear to the eye.
Thankyou so much for sharing.
Am glad I stumbled across this interview. This took me to a trip down memory lane.
The best audio of Bon speaking, no question. Really great to hear.
Brilliant interview, more like listening to Bon chat actually. Thank for you sharing.

They couldn't have picked a worse place to do this interview. The background noise is WAY too distracting.
@davydevilution309 Actually, there was at least 10! 10 different voices in the background at any given time.
