You also aren’t legally allowed to discriminate based on any political views or legal activities such as creating a racist blog about deporting the Browns. If a 3rd party comes to an employer with information about a potential applicant, then they can discriminate, but an employer is not allowed to seek out that information.

Consider this: a substantial minority of Americans think that Abortion is killing an innocent human. Would you be cool if "supported planned parenthood" was acceptable grounds for dismissal? Remember, from the point of view of an anti-abortion supporter, that would be just as bad as two out of the three (exaggerated) caricatures in this video. (unless you think advocating deporting brown people is worse than advocating killing innocent humans).
Note: I personally *don't* think there's anything wrong with Abortion, but I recognize that the difference between my position (a Fetus is not human with rights) and the opposite position (a Fetus is a human with rights) is based on differences in definitions of humanity and/or our conception of what "rights" entail. They have a more expansive definition of human than I do, but their premises and the logic following from those premises are understandable (if wrong, in my view).
