- Ever wondered what a big Adult Figure Skating competition looks like and what goes down?
I honestly wished I knew more about competing in general and how these competitions work when I first started off competing because to be honest it is a WHOLE another ordeal and experience to go through.

@cathydingg I just watched your recent video, and let me tell you both the dramatic and IJS program is🔥🔥🔥 the way you kept the tragic face at the end. It was amazing because, even in top skaters, you don't see that often.
Congratulations!!! Thanks for sharing about the surprises that you've found in the IJS system. I like it in that it's more detailed, but it sounds like what counts as a component is also more demanding.
Thank you so much for watching! Yes indeed- IJS is quite the system to navigate and a big hurdle for me this season! It's a lot of trial and error but I am glad that I'm starting to understand it better!
I hate how they invalidate spins for all sorts of silly reasons. Like the don't invalidate a jump if you two foot it or a step sequence if you put your foot down on a turn, you just lose GOE and/or levels.
TRULY- spinning is always the parts that make me the most anxious before a competition because I'm constantly thinking about how not to screw it up but I'm slowly learning to overcome that fear!
i would love to start my figure skating journey once i get my driver’s license (i’m nearly 18 with no permit, lol😅) and this is amazing insight to what competing looks like as an adult figure skater! i’ve binged quite a few of your videos and absolutely love your content- especially since i also want to go into a corporate career!
