- “It all started with a picture in a hot rod magazine.” 👍 Bobby Walden shares a unique story of his journey through the heart of the metal shaping industry and how his passion and determination has guided him to where he is today. Thousands upon thousands of door skins, more chops than you can count and some of the coolest stories ever told, Bobby is like “The Godfather” of metal shaping.
@waldenspeedshop is like a museum and is packed full of hot rod and metal shaping history. Truly an iconic story #baileigharmy #baileighbiography #baileighpowerhammer #baileighshrinkerstretcher #baileighbeadroller #beadrolling #metalshaping #baileighenglishwheel #englishwheel #yoder #pullmax #powerhammer

Walden is an approachable craftsman and very friendly. Thanks Bobby Walden for the open popsicle and ice cream sandwich cooler you offer during the GNRS open house weekends and for the awesome roof panel for my Model A Ford Hot Rod.
Bobby is the freaking man. He is like the guy in the Street Rodder photo to me! Glad to see him on y’all’s channel!
Great video!! What an inspiration
Amazing shop. Much respect. Guy has years of knowledge.
My dad and Bobby where friends and worked together at the oil refinery in Borger, Texas. I was slave labor for all of their side jobs. I remember when he got the Yoder and the 34 Ford. We made lots of trips all over the Texas panhandle showing his Corvette. Even made a trip to Super Chevy at Indy in ‘88.
Not a dying art anymore--very true because of people just like you ! I still hear some folk say a dying art, they do not research what is going on today.
It's only dieing if no one is working with metal wood plastics. I have very few metal working tool's but I make all kinds of stuff what little I have.
I'm going to make my own plemashing hammer. I have the air hammer just need to weld up the mount for my air hammer don't look to hard to make. The English wheel is a whole other story but I think I can make something to get by.
Great guy.
Do you do garage tours I would love to come through I am a Metal Shaper in Australia. Love your work.
I'm a poor boy, I just have a welder a few grinders, a drill, saw all, jig saw, hand shears, 20 ton press. Working on making a plemashing hammer, to clamp to my vice.
