thanks for the demo. great results!( I also own the hotrod power hammer.purchased 2.5 years ago.) my hammer did not come with "collet" type tool holders. just miserable set screw collars. did your hammer come with the collets or did you order them separate? I'm contacting Woodward now to see if those, or other dies are available .keep up the good work. E.

Nice video. Thanks for posting. I have the Metalmaster machine down here in New Zealand. What setting did you use behind the perspex door ? Planishing or Power hammer. Spring or no spring ? Thanks, Mike Kiddie

Thanks for watching and being involved Mike! Rigid mode with no spring is best suited for this application.

Thanks for the video! Can you tell me if this machine can go from spring to ridged mode by making the adjustment through the little plexiglass door on the front of the machine?

The original metalmaster brand machine can, but the Woodward fab version shipped to the US had solid spacers in place of the springs due to a patent in the United States is what I have been told so the is version is rigid mode only.

      @@outcastcustoms321 That's a bummer!

You could replace the ridged metal spacers with your own spring or urathane to soften the strike

@kirstenspencer3630 Do you think it's just the spacer that is supposed to turn inside the plexiglass glass window that is different? I think the others should have spring above the spacer that I'm sure are not there but maybe able to be put back in. I do machine work, so building a new spacer is not a problem.

nice job, fixing a neoprene hammer insert to the tooling may clean up the toolmarks just an idea

That’s a great idea, I have some Delrin or UHMW plastic radius dies for working aluminum that I’m anxious to try out. I’m going to see if I can source some 5/8” stock from similar material for aluminum work, I’ll share a video when I get to that.
