    Hadn't thought of a cheese grater! I've used a rasp and file on occasion...depending on the foam...but a cheese grater? That's cool! Use what ya' got. Bread knife works as a foam cutter and cheese grater works as a foam sander.... funny how some kitchen tools can be used in the garage. Like the drill for mixing batter. Haha!

    Hello, Mario. I’ll begin by saying that you are awesome with your upholstery work. You’ve taught me a lot. I’m fairly new to auto upholstery and have relied on folks like yourself to basically teach me how to do this.
    I’m stuck on several how-to things that maybe you can help with. Just this one thing is troubling me right now. I’m trying to form my vinyl over the bolsters at the edges of a seat bottom in the corners. The seat has an insert that is surrounded by slightly raised bolsters. I can’t seem to wrap the vinyl over the bolsters in the corners without either bunching or wrinkling where the pieces are sewn together in the 45’ angle. Can you please do a video of this for us to see? It would be much appreciated and help me out tremendously if you would and you have the time to do it. Thank you very much. And thanks again for your expertise and sharing your knowledge with us newbies.

    Burlap? between the springs and the cushion ... I'm about to do this on my car it's a newer vehicle though.. Yeah they just put the Springs directly to the foam.. All the seats the springs are cutting through the foam already mainly the driver seat.. Should I put her burlap on the seat part not just the back? Hopefully I don't have to replace any Springs

    What is the cheese grater that you use?

    • @jimbob4859
      @jimbob4859 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's just a cheap box grater from Walmart, cut down and stapled to some wood. He's got a video somewhere, I made one and it works really well.

    What is the IDF of the foam (the firmness)? Is it 35 or 45? my question is not about the density pounds. Thank you!
