One more correction to be made in the latter stages of the video: the blue-banded 30th SS cannot actually occupy fortified PD hexes, so I fixed that off camera the turn after I moved them there.

I'd missed the part of moving the Prep Defense up one at the end of the turn. Glad I watched this before I started my game.

Turns out the designer is doing his own thing and is no longer with Revolution. However, if someone wants to design a west front version, they are open design ideas.
Great play thru....now I want to get it
Played this twice. Once against an experienced player where I lost as the Germans and once against a first timer where I won as the Germans. Very good game. Tracks roads and trails need to be checked as there are a lot on the map. Rules are short. This is the only game available that covers the battle, as far as I am aware. Chit pull is tough for the German player, he doesn’t get to move much in the early part of the game. The Russian has to use the roads and trails to move efficiently, careful planning is required. Sudden death VC are clear, keeping track of the village VP is bit more challenging, unless you use the VASSAL module. Gotta keep the supply to Narva open, as you note. Very good game, a definite keeper.
Definitely my favorite one in the series. I would really like to play a face to face game at some point.

I think you are playing the HQ activation wrong. It is different from other games. Here you can activate units from other formations and not just the independent units with your +3.
4.2.1
The activated HQ can now activate all units of its formation and three units not of its formation (independent or from another formation) within its command range to move and attack
Good catch! It’s been a while since I played this, but from what I can recall you’re probably right.
A victory lost and a victory denied by MMP use the same system...for the most part.
I have heard that. Makes me want to check them out.
