this X6M is just......i dunno what BMW has done to it but i'll take that over the Bentayga or GLS/GLE 63 or any other sport SUV. It has the same 575hp engine as the M5 but it has 8 speeds and judging by the awesome video here it is much smoother in every gear. Fabulous...this is coming from a die-hard Porsche fan btw...and yes i love the Cayenne Turbo but they haven't brought much of an exciting change this generation so hat's off to BMW.
As far as i've seen it's minor differences and obviously the setup for the car is different but the M5 has the B44T0 and the X6M has an updated B44T2 of the same S63 engine. Also valvetronic is present on both so you could arguably consider it as the same engine :)

Primero que todo, no pretendo armar polémica ni nada, sólo doy mis impresiones, sin que signifique que sea un experto ó algo así, por el contrario, es sólo la opinión de alguien que le gusta y admira los buenos autos como la serie M. Empecemos. Entre el M2, M3 y M4, para ser el mismo motor, el del M2 suena más refinado y pareciera que el de M3 y M4 suena más furioso. Y para tener el mismo motor y desempeño, no entiendo porque el 4 es el más costoso. El 4 es el que definitivamente tiene la estampa más bonita de toda la serie, aunque me gustaría mucho verlo en 4 puertas. Y sí el M4 suena algo esforzado, el del M5 suena algo flojo ó limitado, como sí no quisiera dar el 100% de todo su potencial sino el 80 ó 90%. Y su estampa riñe con el del M4, mis dos favoritos de todos los emes. Y para tener el mismo motor que el del M6, es aún un poco más superior y suena mejor que el del M5, haciendo que sea muy curioso esta situación. Es realmente molesto y fastidioso que, unos autos de lujo y de gran desempeño y performance, tenga ese sonidito al encender el auto, como sí estuviera encendiendo un computador viejo con el Windows 3.1.
