Great tip with brake cleaner as very quick to find the split, but I was surprised it drew it into the intake as it's a pressurised system. If anything I thought air would be escaping out of that split. Hence I've used a smoke machine to find these sorts of leaks in past. Keep the top tips coming
My car is a mk 2 ford focus and it got the same fault a boost problem and I can hear it sucking air in .are part you replaced genuine ford or after market .
Hey, I have a Focus 1.8 TDCi with the same P0299 DTC, and when I bought the car, my mate pointed out the pipe you found the split in, and told me it needed changing. Obviously, the car ran fine at thetime, so I didn't do it - I'm a twat. Thanks for the vid
Hi great professional repair. I bought Ford Transit Connect for very cheap and has same code P0299 but also P2463 ,P244B Diesel particulate filter. Do you think that this faults are because owner was driving for long with code P0299? Best regards Lukas

Where did or can you get a genuine Autel like yours please.. As hear there's loads of fakes and ones getting locked when you try update them for the first time

Good question. So air flows through the hoses but on idle there is no boost pressure so the brake cleaner can enter.

Yes diesel particulate filter can block because of Underboost
