They say in 2023 that they want to meet judas priest but they began promoting this pop style fashion and music which had nothing to do with metal music. They really got misled by $ and group dynamics of mass population and desperation. Show-Ya lost themselves during their career.
Actually they started in the early 80s as a high school cover band covering hard rock and heavy metal from the 70s, that was their main inspiration. It was pressure from their management that forced them into a more pop direction as metal was very much underground when they started. They were bullied for it by the underground metal community who viewed it as selling out, but when metal started to get adopted by the mainstream in the mid 80s Show-Ya was at the forefront. In 1987 they gathered enough resources to start their own management company (Masterworks) which gave them more control over their sound and image and returned to HR/HM. They became friends with bands like Earthshaker, Loudness, and X Japan.
Same thing happened to Accept in Germany. They wanted to play Metal, but got signed to a Pop label. Took them 2 albums to finally get it right and play the music they want.

この頃はまだアイドル的な路線なのかアーチスト路線なのか、模索していた時期でしたよね。
当時自分はロックバンド好きの高校生でしたが、女性バンドがまだ他にほとんどいなかった時代でしたので、気になって観ていました。
寺田姉さんの高音のシャウトがバリバリ最高レベルでしたね👍️
