jumping to conclusions too quickly. and didn't use the scientific method for testing. example you wanted to test the chalk. you should have tested it on both cue balls.
LMAO.... Riiiiiiiight..... Cause my channel is FULL of "scientific-ness." LOL, get outta here bro!
I have 1 temu cue which plays really well after changing the tip on it. It's carbon fiber. I have that one as a spare. My new play cue is jflower. Thanks for sharing.
Hey just came across your channel.
Myself i have tried a " handmade cue from alibaba $10usd " warped probably due to shipping plus bad tip had to change. I still made a 50break in snooker but the cue warp mentally got me.
A cue from temu in a case $50usd - straight cue, bad tip- replaced tip = good cue in all honesty. Made consecutive 50s and 60s breaks. But it works well mentally you know its cheap but if that doesnt matter you'll play well.
Hello. A snooker league player here from Poland. You're absolutely right. A 1000$ cue will not make you a great player. We need to put hours in the game, that's all.
@@Arkadiusz-p2f lol
The carbon fiber shafts are actually really nice, ive bought a few out of curiosity. They are VERY similar to a Revo, same taper and most are 12.4mm. And they are like 40-60 bucks on average which is crazy compared to the name brand.
You don't mind child labor
i have one for break and one for a jump cue. good tip on it and they are good to go.
Its not the way to test a cue ball. You cannot find out its quality by hitting 6 shots. I have a cheap cue ball. It chipped and cracked after one week of normal practice. My break is far from strong break.
I like this comment better
I played several games with it latr that same day. It held up fine. For $3, even if it only holds up for a few months, you're doing ok.
Bought both of my young nephews a 2 piece cue and case. Great look and value. Definitely hit better than any bar cue
Easy now Josh... Family channel!! haha!! But great video. I have also wondered about Temu pool stuff. Thanks for taking one for the team!
I bought the pathline cue wich looks like that one and I like it. I think k i paid 26 for it and haven't had a problem with it.
Good video, I was wondering about Temu. My big question now is how long it takes to get items from temu compared with Amazon
I got these in less than 2 weeks
I'm amazed how good the tip is
Josh, i just wanna add some input as someone whos sifted through Temu extensively and theres some really nice cues on there for cheap, they may not be as high quality but honestly its hard to tell the difference. I purchased a Carbon cue and it played just as well if not better than my friends cuetec and meucci. Not to say every stick will be like that but if you really sift through you can find some absolute gems and not break the bank. I will say of the 2 cues ive bought, ones balance point is a tiny bit off compsred to most cues but i actually prefer that to other cues.
@alexdavis1711 oh, for sure.. cool idea to do a video trying to find the "gems" on temu
@Amateur_Pool I'd 100% be down to see what you can find on there. Hell id be happy to help if ever need be cause I do frequent it pretty often for specific pool gear. Gloves being a big one and honestly check the Carbon shafts or even full cues out on there, there's some promising ones. Sure there's stinkers and they tend to be pretty obvious but still ive seen some id love to try out
@@alexdavis1711 I got a pretty decent 4 butt 5 shaft case for 40 bucks.
agreed, there's some banger cues on there, you just gotta sort out the garbage bottom of the barrel stuff, definitely worth a lot more investigation. Just curious, have you found any other nice cues with maple shafts on there? They seem to be kinda hard to come by, and at most I've only seen some fury stuff; Definitely good, but I wonder if there's any good natural plain jane/sneaky pete style butts like those from the mcdermott lucky series or valhalla by viking series?
I buy carbon fiber shafts from Temu for around $50.I get whatever connection size my customer needs, put a brand new Bulletproof Synthetic Recoil tip on em,Sand em down and wax em,and they are excellent.I have only received one shaft that wasn’t aligned perfectly at the joint, but luckily it was my own personal break shaft,so it being perfect at the joint wasn’t super important.
Get a shaft, change the tip,and tell me what you think.
my friend bought a wood jump cue for 30$ and its actually amazing :D all been trying it and everybody is stunned how good it is lol sometimes you hit gold there too
Cool review Josh. May try that chalk out.
I actually bought a red dotted cueball on Wish. And surprisingly it rolled well.
I left my aramith cueball at a poolhall once. Called em and asked them to hold it. When I went to pick it up they couldn't find mine, but they had one, so I shrugged and went yeah sure I'll take that one. Seemed the same at first. After using it a few days I noticed little micro fractures forming around the red dots. Then yeah, I broke with it and it exploded like one of those gag golf balls. Took forever to clean it off the table. Non aramith resins commonly break over time. Aramiths break, but its unbelievably rare.
Hey I appreciate your videos, I'm not far from grinders actually. Anyway I saw your video here and I was about to order a Valhalla 100 series Viking from Amazon but now I'm kind of worried. They are between 1:10 and 1:30 and it's supposed to be $100 cue so that makes me feel a little better. Still I have concerns what if they don't know their supplier that well. I've heard great things about that q series for the price and I was excited about it.
Viking makes pretty good cues. If you're looking to spend around $100, you can't go wrong with it. If you bumped up to $300ish, you could get a carbon fiber playing cue from raven (and save an extra 10% with discount code Josh)
I've had one of those cue balls before from their play decent the only thing I noticed was that it left more burn marks on the table on the break
I took a gamble buying an OKHealing CF Cue from Temu and was honestly surprised with the product. It's was a good CF Shaft for the price
Use your fancy scuffer thing you were pushing on that site to make the tip usable
@@georgiannegooday9108 I should have
@ 100% should have!
That said it would have still been hot garbage lol
Great video. I wonder if TEMU sells a Bar Table cue ball, with a magnet in it, so that it will work with ball return Valley tables. Any cue ball that you can get English on, and draw back, is decent. I always hated those Mud balls that you find in most bars. A good cue ball, that has the magnet (for cue ball return) in it costs at least around $20, I believe, but I lost the last one I had, because of a faulty bar table, that it got stuck in.
@justinbryson352 something to look in to, for sure
Good video idea Josh! May have to take a look at buying some discounted chalk haha
That and the cue ball were the best items.
Hi there nice test have you tried carbon cues from temu you might be surprised 😮 art they sent a block of chalk free looks like taom pyro plays great keep up the good work
I haven't tried them yet, but probably in a future video
I love triangle chalk. I think it's made like Masters...but holds on the tip better imo
I wonder if you bought 2 would there be a difference in cue ball size
good question
@Amateur_Pool appreciate your pool content, man. Keep it up👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
What a coincidence, I had those gloves and chalk delivered yesterday from Temu. I hate the glove because now I can’t slide my hand into position because of the rubber on the palm. Haven’t tried the chalk yet.
That cue stick is the same cue stick sold on Amazon. But amazon has it for like 30-50 bucks. My friend has one and he bought it from Amazon. Surprisingly the Amazon one came with a layered tip.
and how was it?
@javierjavier5468 I never tried the cue myself. But it looked alright and like I said even had a layered tip on it
I bought a Carbon shaft from temu
Custom shaft pro taper with 12.00 mm Tip,30 inch.
Its better than ma j flowers Carbon shaft. I had to change the tip though.
So why didn't you Break with the Queball?
Most any ball will have spin or English.
How did it break?
Big miss for me.
Ya, shoulda mentioned it in the video. I did break with it a bunch. Actually played several games with it. Only complaint I have it that it's just a smidge bigger than the real ball
@@Amateur_Pool yeah didn't mean to be ugly or misspell cue ball ;(
Breaking is the most stressful test for a cue ball and was waiting to see how it held up.
good idea and fun little video josh, you should keep doing these and order other pool stuff and try it out. you can make it a series! haha
@@derektieszen7640 for sure... already thinking about doing exactly that
There are gloves on there that you can choose size.
Do a review on the fake predator cues on Temu.
good idea! I will probably review some more of temu's more expensive items in the future
I got the fake predator bk rush break stick for $120 on Temu. I was very surprised how nice it is.I changed the tip on it because it comes with a phenolic tip and I don't like breaking with them.I didn't feel like spending $800 on a break stick so I figured i would try it.I recommend it if you need a good cheap break stick
@@jriley7164 Yes if there was ever a chance of a cheap stick performing well it would be on a break stick. Break sticks are very rigid and usually dont have intricate inlays, rings, or exotic woods. I have a Cuetec Breach and I have a cheap mcdermott Lucky with a Taom break tip and they are both 19oz and both break the same even with the Breach having a CF shaft. I used the Predator break app and get the same results with both. There is another video idea for Josh. Cheap break cue vs expensive break cue.
i worked at q masters in vb, when a ball would go missing from a set they would usually replace the whole set instead of just the individual ball. I’d imagine they would easily be able to sell the old balls in bulk to whoever.
Next time test out the “predator” temu sticks 😂
complaining about the glove moving isn't the gloves fault it is the players fault your bridge hand should have most of the weight on it I played snooker for 30 years competition I know what I'm talking about
@hemsley38 I don't think you do know what your talking about.
If he doesn't like open finger he should have bought the 3.00 glove
Pretty sure you don’t know what you’re talking about
I don't wear a glove 99% of the time but I have that glove and it works fine.
I'm surprised how many players seem to like the "designer chalks" these days. Back when I was little, my dad would hang out with his brothers and I'd tag along. Master chalk was the only chalk I grew up seeing on the tables. I remember seeing the red cubes on all the tables. I grew up playing with Master chalk and that's the only chalk I've ever used. It seemed very odd to me when I saw the new different color label chalk with new shapes. When I go to the pool hall, all the old timers still play with Master. I've never had any issues with Master chalk, so no reason for me to change. I guess the new designer chalk is appealing to the new kids getting into pool.
Some of the new chalk is actually better for cleaning purposes, it doesn't get all over the table, the balls or your hand, and it does a better job at keeping you from miscueing
it's what Ryan said. I use masters 99% of the time, but it makes the table a bit more dirty than the more expensive chalk. They both stick to the tip just fine for me (I chalk every hit so, it doesn't matter too much)
I have 2 gloves from temu that are good high quality. They were $3 and they fit as good as my old predator glove. You chose super cheap and not the gloves that look the best. I also have chalk made by kolleen. There nano which is comparable to taum. It runs $13 instead of $20. The blue diamond chalk plays great as well. I use it all the time. You have to remember that most chalk is currently being made in China so a place selling it cheaper than you can buy it here would make sense.
Temu doesn't sell over priced items like the usa, and to be fair most of their products are of like quality, it's all in your head?
@@geotj58 lol
Cheap gloves are the s**t. Once I found a decent glove for 4$, I never get back to the premium ones. It 90% the quality of the premium ones, you just have to find a better cheap glove, this one is just too cheap.
Their sticks play good won tournaments with it
Nice vid man!
Thank you!
the balls are good, but i buy these to take to events for signatures
@@DJKW905 great idea
Common sense I won't buy from temu

Very nice video!
Thank you!
If the glove don't fit, you must quit! 😅
@@JerryLee.. lmao
😂My girl just ordered me the same exact stick in your thumbnail from Temu. Haven’t even shot with it yet. Is that a good stick ??
I review it in the video, but short answer is no. I didn't care for it one bit
Looks like you hit Charlie when you threw the stick
LOL... that's Birdie. Charlie's my old dog. Scared the sh*t out of her though, lol
@@Amateur_Pool I saw the difference, but first you toss the stick and then mention a dead dog.Sorry, I could not pass up the joke.
They have a predator p3 white for like $60 lol the real thing is hard to find. I thought about buying it just to see how bad it is
There's sooo many products on there. Maybe next time I'll try that stick out. Also, I want to try a set of aramith black balls from temu, but they want to charge almost 100 bucks for them.
@ $100 seems a bit steep to take the risk but that cue ball seemed solid . I’d only be worried about the size and weight. Dynosphere has proven you can make balls every bit as good as aramith for half the price.
the stick was so bad the dog ran from it.and we all know dogs love sticks..Don't You Dare by that stick little Timmy..
Lol
Bro, if you pay 20 dollars for a cue.... how are they scamming you for it being crap? Who buys a 20 dollar cue to TEST OUT anyway?? I can predict the future of ANY 20 dollar cue from ANY internet sales site. It's gonna be shit. So I don't buy it.
I could buy a sportcraft cue for $10 that plays better. That's how they scammed me
I've never seen a blue measles arimith ball. For 20bucks I can get taum, and know it real.
You probably still haven't, lol
Lol @@Amateur_Pool
i’ve seen on the interwebs a whole lotta terrible things about temu.
Temu is literally the same as Wish
I think temu delivers a bit faster. Got this stuff in less than 2 weeks.
temu isn't Chinese and here is the proof. Temu was founded in Boston, Massachusetts in 2022.
@@hemsley38 bro... are you kidding me? The shipments come from China
