- Hey guys! It was time to refresh my hair color and this time I went for Manic Panic Vampire Red instead of my usual mixture from Adore. Stay tuned until the end for my opinion on the manic panic dye, which is vegan and cruelty free by the way!

When you dye your hair use a conditioner after you wash it out even if the directions don’t say to use one. That way your color won’t bleed. I learned that from my sister. her youngest daughter learned that in beauty school.
I use manic panic vampire red without bleach on my VERY dark brown hair: it gives very strong highlights and my tips, which are more porous due to damage, are a rich red hue. It's definitely worth using it if you want some colour without bleach.
Linda Liriel does it wash out? And if it does, how long does it take for it to wash out?
@@sarabarcelos441 I haven't used it in over a year. It does wash out. I'd say about 7 washes...I switched back to Henna tbh because I don't want it to wash out lol

@@sarabarcelos441 manic panic did no damage to my hair, it actually felt really soft and nice! Due warning this stuff stains like anything (a big reason why i stopped using it) so do be careful.
So you can use manic panic without bleach you can just buy the that jar and put it on your hair

As a long time Manic Panic Vampire Red user with Multi Racial Hair. To make the hair color last longer and not run or bleed as much, after you finish putting the color on your hair and then time it..then take off the plastic cap and blow dry the color to infuse it into the hair strands.

Personally, I’m the opposite and I love that it’s a tub/screw top versus squeeze bottle because sometimes I end up mixing conditioner in and need a place to store it after. But you also get your money’s worth completely with this type of packaging.
Omg!! I just bought this, and I checked out the other videos onto dark hair which I sadly have aswell and I'm surprised that this one turned out way wat better than I thought, I'm so happy and very excited, I love your hair!!
I add conditioner it helps make it not so pasty & ur jar will last longer;) , love ur style .
Me 2 I use a spray bottle and conditioner plus I have thick course hair and it stays for years for me lol

I've used Manic Panic Rockabilly Blue - gorgeous color - but it bled so bad. EVERYWHERE I went/touched turned blue - no exaggeration. I no longer use Manic Panic, I use Directions. I plan to dye my hair pink for Spring/Summer. Good luck to those who want to dye their hair.
I've heard horror stories about manic panic colors bleeding, but fortunately that hasn't been my experience...at least not this time around!

bleeding just refers to when hair dye runs or "bleeds" out. Dyed hair can bleed when you wash it or when it gets wet in general, like when you're styling it. Some dyes bleed worse than others and if it bleeds a lot it just means you'll have to really keep up with your color touch-ups. Nothing to be worried about, really! It's normal but preferable to find a dye that bleeds as little as possible. I found that the manic panic dye bled more for me than the adore dyes I've used in the past. Hope this helps!
Alexis489 wow really ? Ive used rockabilly blue for two years now and I’ve never had a bleeding problem. Did you do it on dry or wet hair ? I must say cotton candy pink absolutely sucks though
I had the EXACT same experience with Rockabilly Blue when I dyed my hair with it three years ago. I have never had that problem with another colour. I saw Manic Panic started putting disclaimers that you shouldn't leave Rockabilly Blue in for 24 hours (which is what I did), because the colour tends to bleed, so I think a lot of people had the same problem.
Nice! I really liked this color when I did my hair with it before. I think I'm going to go back to it after I fade my blue out.

how long does semi permanent dye last before a touch up? and is it okay to lighten and dye in the same day? or wait a while and then color red?

What I used on dark hair was HiColor Loreal for dark hair and 30 volume, did not need to bleach and it took right away, I used to retouch with manic panic... best products ever

Before I had my hair red, I had my hair blonde and brown, but now since my hair is red but faded, but when I did my hair red I mixed the hair red dye with the developer .now since it faded the manic panic cream will make it more red
my hair is super thick and i use one jar and i will actually have left overs. the slip is really good and so is the coverage ! ur hair is beautiful bae 💕💕 i use electric lizard 🦎

I've used Infria red from manic panic and 4ir from ion color brilliance. With a 30 volume developer. It worked out how i wanted it to. Coz of the red I was going for. Infria red is more of the bright maroon. Although im not a licenced costmotoligist I can say I've watched my hair dresser and TH-cam videos to know exactly what to and not to do.
But I've also had to get my hair a golden blond to blond to achieve the look.
I usually do semi permanent colors because i actually like the tint of color i get in the sun or under any light lol. I've always used the jazzing by clairol and really like it. Its a demi permanent which is said to last longer than semi and it actually gives my hair a nice reddish brown tint overall not just in the sun. I have been curious to try manic panic though and after seeing your video i might have to. Nice results. Btw i never tried adore color either. Maybe ill give that a go too.

Just so you know they do have manic panic squeeze bottle. I have a squeeze bottle of purple dye. Maybe look at other stores? Otherwise great video ❤️✨
When using the manic panic red dye when u bleach your hair to lighten it once lighten do you add the red dye on top of the bleach or you wash it off then use the red dye
Hey! Thanks for your comment. I actually don't use bleach. My hair is lightened from a few years back when I used blonde box dyes. So I just put the semi permanent red dye on top of that. Once it was stained red i just kept slapping more red dye on top of that to touch it up for vibrancy.

I have a straight perm in my hair will this break out my hair ? I never dyed my hair and im so anxious to do so but dont want to if my hair will fall out 😩
i don't think so but i'm also not a professional so I wouldn't advise you to! If you're nervous, always safest to consult a professional stylist!
I used to use manic panic vampire red and absolutely loved it. I've gone from purple to red, to black, to blonde, and now a medium brown. I want to transition back to red, but bleach is not an option and manic panic seems to be as best as it gets for darker hair. what tips would you give to maintain the colour and also resisting leakage everywhere. My towels and sheets would get so stained it was terrible! Thank you xx

This is not ameant to be negative Just to add to a comment you made, you can use the manic panic dye without bleaching or lightening your hair. My hair is dark brown almost black and normally will not hold color without lightening (Especially blue) but I have no problem with manic panic at all. I mix pillar box red with vampire red it looks awesome. It might not work for everyone, but this is the best way for me to dye my hair without bleaching.

Yeah it does. But if you dyed your hair black previously or darker by any chance I've noticed it has less results. Whereas natural dark hair uncolored treated hair. It works perfectly fine
Do you have a problem with the dye running after usage? I've used this dye three times now and I really like it, but I find that the color doesn't last long and runs no matter the temp of the water (I use super cold). Do you have any useful tips?
hey! Unfortunately I don't have any tips for running! My dyes never gave me too much of a bleeding issue! The only tip I've heard is to use cold water but if that's not working then I'm not sure! Perhaps color can bleed more easily if your hair is super porous? I'm pretty sure my hair is low in porosity so that might help keep the color in

hi! I don't actually follow a regular schedule with dyeing my hair! I just wait until it's not as vibrant as I like it to be. And my colored hair is definitely dryer than my roots, but it doesn't get dryer each time i dye it because i only use semi-permanent dye now! Only chemical dye should dry your hair out.
Did you have a hard rinsing it off the water just kept on running red was that in issue for you ?
that's totally normal. For me, the water never runs completely clear! When I touch up my color, I rinse it out until the water is as pale a pink as possible! And because it's a semi-permanent dye, a little color will leak out with most washes! Washing your hair with cold/cool water helps!

thanks so much! I haven't had this color in years but back when i used to do it I started on old, dirty hair. I just rinsed out the color and washed gently afterward

Hi! I only used one jar because that's what I had. But if I use it again I will use at least 2!
