aww honey. the hicolor is still a bleach. it actually works really well on black hair (especially the highlights that you used). however, don't wrap it up tight, it needs air to process. if you use their red or purples as a base before the manic panic, it helps it not to fade. still, you did great!

I don't want to burst your bubble but color does not lift color, there's bleach in the highlight kit. There's always bleach in products you buy in the store that lightens your hair. Looks nice though :)

I colored my hair purple using Argan oil 5rv with no bleaching ..and boy is it purple 💜 ..try that if you want a bright purple..that color you used is pretty on you ..thanks for the video
I did the exact same thing as a teenager. I’d been dying my hair red then I dyed it black, when the black had grown out 2-3 inches I bought a bleach kit and bleached my hair not knowing that lifting black is a process that doesn’t always work. My roots turned orange/white and little streaks throughout my hair lightened up a bit. I then put in a magenta colored manic panic and at first it was bomb. I had hot pinky fuchsia roots and dark magenta streaks. I had these long crazy spiral curls from my side burn hair that was half fuchsia and half black. The problem came when it faded. It now looked like a tortoiseshell cat except the top of my head was white blonde and from a distance I looked like I was balding. I also damaged my hair severely and ended up having to cut off at least eight inches. It was crazy but my hair cut looked great on me and I learned a lesson.
Zoey Zoey-Zoey just 2 and a half weeks ago I bleached all of hair (I had highlights already) and the roots were like white and a light blonde and the rest of my hair besides the back which was also white was the color I wanted. Then I had some of my natural hair/brown pieces left. It looked a patchy mess 😬😂anyways I’m using this semi permanent medium warm brown dye (so my hair won’t turn green or anything) and now my hair looks pretty good. It does fade fast and didn’t cover all of my hair but I’m getting it fixed soon🤷🏻♀️
