As a former trombone player from 5th grade to 12th grade, I can confirm,
uh,
if your left arm is broken you can still play in Marching Band because you only need your right to move the slide
Also this man must have masterful lip movement and super lungs to not breathe this long and also play all these notes from the same position
The creator needs to add a feature where is save just the replay of your attempt. Then you can go back and listen to it without the background music. Could turn into a great party guessing game where you try to guess the song.
I’m afraid this game is going to give me sight reading nightmares like I used to have back in high school. 😂😂😂

It has a wii music feel to it with the mii character playing the trombone. Not sure how that game played though.
First of all, First20 on a Sunday got me fooled, I almost got scared of having missed work today.

As a trombonist, this is accurate to someone trying the instrument for the first time...assuming they can read music

As a trombone player from back in school, this is hilarious to. Though hearing the "music" that was playing, reminded me of how little instances you could actually stop to really take a breath and you just had to find the small moments where you could unless you had a bar or something worth of a rest. Otherwise depending on the song it could be insanely difficult and sometimes in a group you had to more or less plan out your breathing breaks with the other players in your section so the sound of the entire trombone section didn't disappear from people lacking breath. The nice thing was that playing the instrument helped you train your lungs to be able to potentially play longer before needing a breath.
That sort of thing always bugged me how at my high school, marching band was considered lesser than a sport or anything even remotely related to PE or something, considering we did more to practice and do our halftime shows (for the football games) and parades then most of the PE classes actually accomplished in their classes or hell even our actual sports teams. And some other schools in our area counted it which made that whole thing even more annoying!
This looks like a fun game and I might have to get it though Since it looks like chaotic fun to me!
One critique on the game that I can see though is that the instrument the trombone player is holding is a standard trombone. Not an f trigger horn or a bass trombone, so technically the trombone player probably for some of the notes should be moving the slide past the bell of the horn more then they are (since 5th, 6th and 7th position tend to stretch out a bit the slide)
And fun fact, early name for the trombone from back in the 15th century was the sackbut! Which was just mainly a slimmer and slightly higher pitched version of the modern trombone!
But yeah no, this game looks super fun to me!

The lyrics are great to, especially Stephen singing them out loud. The cherry on top is "My nightmare is over." Oh if only.

18:39 I really thought for a couple times the screen was shrinking, so I get the sliding part for Mal, not sure what it was but something about that background made my brain think it must be moving. First time I've had some ...motion sickness? Not sure what you'd call that. Good job to Mal for sticking with it, I think I would have had to pause for a second in the middle of that one.

I am not normally pro listening to our anthem, but I would pay to listen to Stephen's gorgeous rendition of the Canadian anthem at the next event I have to hear it.
