I cry at this from the opening titles. Seeing Michael Landon walking down that lonely road, with that music. I love this show, and the cast, even though it plays with my emotions. It makes me reflect on my life, me as a person, and how I can become a better person during these difficult times. Thank you Michael Landon

I've seen all highway to heaven episodes so much, that I wish there were more.. but since there's not, I just mostly play the first episode over and over, and often restart it just to watch the beginning parts.. plus, the 1st episode has the best into song version, as they changed a bit over the years

I remember watching this episode as a kid. Still gets me the scene with the mechanic and his family.
Highway to Heaven always warms my heart. I remember watching it back in the 80’s when I was in my 20’s. Glad to find the episodes and watch them again. Other programs can not measure up to Michael Landon and victor french and the scrips and episode themes which managed to touch my heart. They still do. They bring back memories of key events in my life.
Other shows simply do not measure up to the standards of Michael Landon’s work
Little House on the Prairie comes close. Same kind of wonderful values.

So many good values we can take and learn from each episodes. Also the theme song give me comfort, reminds me good old days when I was still in school and not much to think. Life maybe hard sometimes, but we have to be strong and believe that God will always be with us. If we take care others, God surely be taking care of us. Have a great days to all of you out there

A Christmas carol, Michael Landon style. I love this story and they couldnt have picked a more perfect actor to play the part than Geoffrey Lewis. Merry Christmas everybody, no matter if it isnt right now !!!!!! =)
axiomist Funny, I just watched Geoffrey Lewis on an episode of Little House. I loved that he used the same actors. If he liked you, you could be in multiple episodes. Funny.
I just read that they originally offered the part to William Shatner, who thought it would be fun to play a bad character for a change, but he had to turn it down because of a scheduling conflict. I can't imagine Shatner playing this role.

I read they were truly the best of friends outside of their acting careers. They surely did work together well. Humor, drama, and sincerity.
That was a time when American kids were happy with the little things. I have seen videos from now with spoiled kids screaming when they get a Play Station, that it's not the latest one and going absolutely crazy and other scenes like that, so life sure has changed for some American kids and I wonder who were/is the most happy, those kids back then or those spoiled brats you see now.
This episode was to tell you all something, but what it told me was, that all those kids, the ones when this man was a kid and the ones later had to stay in a Orphanage because no one had the good hearts to adopt them.

Seems this Christmas Spirit has almost disappeared from society - so many self-centered, self-righteous individuals who forget what it means to be giving of ones-self. Not just on Xmas Day but every day.
Episode made me cry I was thinking about my grandmother passed away last year, she would always tell me she loved me and would ask if I ever get tired of her telling me that. And I told her then, and I would tell her now, no ne-naw I dont

I've said it before I just Love watching Highway to Heaven even though I usually end up in tears. But I think this episode really got to me I have a soft spot for children weather they're handicapped or not as well as the elderly. (I'm being blunt as well as honest with you it makes me ANGRY when they take advantage of them.😢
