5:13 "can you feel inside you that what you'd want is for ppl to be as they actually are, more than what you'd want them to be?"

I love that. Such a truthful revelation.

It’s so odd. Even tho awareness is absolute, 100% linear and non stop, how self gets so inwardly, or outwardly respectively, focused and subsequently losing sight of awareness while equally never losing sight of awareness is baffling.
The whole thing is f🤬🤬king baffling, but only to the mind. 😂😂😂
It’s actually simple, constant, pure, clear, ever present, always and already here.
Where the heck does it go when I lose sight of it and who’s losing side of it anyway?

I love Adyashanti but this seems like a really long-winded way to avoid feeling disappointed.

What is that "I"that will feel disspointed is the main idea of this video , listen carefully!)

@@elenol1310 Yes, the "I" is egoic. And it's still human and inevitable. It's ok to feel disappointed. In fact, some of our most powerful spiritual realizations can come from simply feeling the depths of our human emotions.

@@lunalinguine Sure, no one said that you won't feel certain emotions. You are a human being hah, not a robot, they are perfectly natural and fine ,all of them.Just like the weather outside but do you hold onto the weather, i hope no ,you just acknowledge it and let it pass.Same goes with us, emotions will be there but not identifying your sense of self with them and getting caught up in the "I" story is simple but not easy at all considering how conditioned we are to do so,so yeah. I dont think he meant supressing emotios but rather openning and investigating into the very core of them .

@@elenol1310 Oh I disagree. He is clearly suggesting a very sophisticated way of suppressing disappointment in this clip. I don't hear one second of him helping her open to her disappointment; he's doing the opposite. Adya is very wise and he also ain't perfect. (We can also hold more than one feeling at the same time, something he also seems to miss in this clip. I feel both disappointed in his response to this woman, and also great appreciation for him. This woman can feel both glad that her friend has "something better to do" as well as sincere disappointment in not getting to connect with a friend. This tells us how much that connection matters to her, not that she shouldn't be feeling disappointed about it.)

@@lunalinguine aah, i see what you mean, yep, that can be the case too.
Anyway, have a nice day, miss, thank you for an interesting observation.🍀
Yet he also makes room for her to see that the emotion is the by product of thought so yeah.. hah
Also you know what i love about these videos, that people share those kind of stuff, its very real, we all have it in some way or another.

I don't think it is as simplistic as being happy other people have better things to do than what you want the to do. What about when your husband abandons the children/family? His mother says whatever makes her son happy while making everyone else unhappy? Clearly he will not be happy in the long run doing something else he thinks he has better to do.

Yes, and what about infidelity in a relationship? Should we be happy for them when they cheat on us with someone "better"? One Should Not expect anything, but still there can be rules and reciprocity in a relationship.
