Thank you very much! It took a bit of practice and I think I lost about 0.3s of time in the last sector, so you might even go faster if you can replicate the first part of the lap 💪🏼
@@SimRacingFun Btw, your setup did not clear the minimum ride height on the fronts for some reason. I raised them slightly and it works fine. Really great setup!
@@SimRacingFun Proper racing - I too use VR. Instantly shaved 1.5s off my time with your setup and the balance feels great. If I get within a couple of seconds of your time, I'll be happy.
I’m sure you’ll be able to get close by replicating my lap as much as possible. The setup by Panos feels really stable indeed. In the end, I just changed the aerodynamic settings a bit too customize it to my driving style. Do let me know how you get on with it 💪🏼
Thank you very much! No, it's a different version of the track. I've linked the download link in the description of the video. Let me know if you can't find it and I'll send you a direct link.
Great lap, and thanks for the setup. However, the setup is quite understeery for me. I drive on controller though, does controller cause understeer in AC like it does in F1, or is it me simply not being used to the setup? (Please excuse this contoller peasant for his silly question.)
Thanks! It may indeed have to do with the fact that you use a controller. I've never driven this car with a controller, so I can't comment on the different behavior of that. However, if you look at Eric Altorf's channel (th-cam.com/channels/_SLEYn2kifXj2gnXxX8z4w.html), those setups may help as I know he uses a controller as well. He's mighty quick with it too!
Don't wanna sound like a joykill, but corner speeds seem out of place in some of the corners. Especially in T1 (180 at the apex) and T4 (113 at the apex) are very telling . I don't think current cars can go round them anywhere near that fast. Maybe if the tarmac was significantly more grippy. We might actually see speeds closer to this, this year, with the tarmac settled and all tho.
I’m not that much of an expert on the car to be able to compare it to the real thing like that. To get to these lap-times, I do run the track on optimal settings with 100% grip and no fuel consumption. So the car is extremely light and can use the track to it’s maximum advantage. Perhaps that can explain a bit as to why the corner speeds are this high?
Dude, I did 1.23.230 with an incompatible setup with SF71H and I was close to breaking the world record, I broke it on many tracks, but your setup is not working in my game, for some reason it does not allow me to drive, what should I do?
It's called United Racing Data and runs as an application on your system. The telemetry can then be seen on their website. For this particular lap, you can see the telemetry here: www.unitedracingdata.com/telemetry/s/tJKO78DFqnzjpSEKuEAw/l/r7xBLwURffgLfviAz0gy
Zoinks. Time for some humble pie. Hamilton's lap from fp1:th-cam.com/video/ZmcG7LzCGrk/w-d-xo.html Looks like rss have done a perfect job on the hybrid 2021 car. Corner speeds are mighty close. When they go a bit faster in qualy, it's bound to become an even closer match.
Wow, thanks for sharing that lap as I had not seen it yet. It's really cool to be able to see them side by side. I can't wait to see how fast they can really go. I'm just hoping it will stay dry, so we can see their true speed. I'm still in awe of the work that RSS put into this and how close it's always between their virtual car and what we see out there in the real race.
Hi Deniz, I received a notification that you posted a comment, but for some reason cannot find it on my channel. It might even be closer than this crude analysis" It's so cool to see how close it is and that I even have the exact same speed in T7 compared to the fastest quali lap. RSS really seems to have done a superb job, judging from this. Let's see what we get when we look to compare the data for the US Grand Prix.
So after you pointed out how close this is to real F1, I couldn't help but create a comparison video of the two laps. I've just uploaded it, so it's still going through processing, but you can find it here in about 20 minutes: th-cam.com/video/Z9vtW91bBcw/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=SimRacingFun Hope you like it!
Hahaha, I'm not a fan of the looks of the Halo either .... but I do think that it has saved a couple of drivers already from serious injury or worse. So from that perspective I really do like the added safety it offers.
Thanks for sharing the setup
You’re very welcome, though most of the setup work for this one was done by Hellas Panos. I only modified the aerodynamics a bit for this one.
@@SimRacingFun I know mate, no problem!
Sub 23 with no assists. That's amazing man, congrats. I'll be happy if I'll see sub 25 one of these days :D

It may have to do with tyre blankets or the amount of fuel you put in. And of course your fix will work too 👍🏼
Nice & clean!
Dankjewel! 😁
Super lap!!!
Nice to see all the assists off - this is a real lap. Do you drive in cockpit view?
Thank you so much! Yes, cockpit view with VR. I use an HP Reverb G2 as my VR Headset. It’s much more immersive than a three monitor setup for me.
