Towards the end he was a straight up Zombie it’s sad!!
When Todd tortured Jesse and made him into his meth slave while making him sleep in a hole in the ground in season 5 I actually cried for Jesse. The poor guy never caught a break this series and was lucky to escape with his life at the end.
You know what's astonishing about this show?
Bryan Cranston is one of the greatest actors alive.
Walter White the character is not a good actor at all.
Bryan Cranston is talented enough to come full circle and seamlessly portray bad acting and have it not feel unnatural at all.

Another nice touch is when Jesse's bike is stolen, all he has left is the lock/murder weapon that represents all the dark shit he's trying to forget.

Walt's "Tell you what?" felt like his inner Heisenberg came out briefly.
It's amazing how many amazing moments you realize you've forgotten when you watch this show just because they're slightly less amazing than other moments.
Can this be? Actual rational discussion about Skyler on the internet where they empathize with her on a character level while condemning her actions but also not completely writing her off as some absolute evil? Thanks for the levelheaded discussion, guys. So rare to find Breaking Bad fans who'll actually see both sides.

The funniest line in the whole show “hey, someone stole your bike man, not cool”
Jesse IS kind of a prick to his mom, absolutely... And he has no right to drag her down, too. But it's also true that he really took care of her aunt, and cared for her til the very end, while his mother never showed up or offered any help. Knowing, also, that Jesse's aunt actually wanted to leave the house to him, it's kind of a dick move to kick him out of there without even talking, or sticking to the "50-50" deal they already had arranged .
The people of Jesse's parent's generation are all high on themselves and think they are morally superior to everyone else, the baby boomers.
Jesse has all the right to call her every name in the book. They're the reason he ended up in that life in the first place.
The worst part about Jesse hitting rock bottom is that it wasn't even rock bottom yet T_T
You know, it wasn't Jesse's Fault At all, to lose the money. He took his half, when Walt told him to leave town, cause they though Tuco would kill them both. But Tuco caught Jesse midway and kidnapped him and Walt, with the money still on the car. That red bag was left with his car, and taken by Hank and the DEA... He literally lost everything he had, and since that was taken by the cops, completely out of his control, he wanted Walt to split what was left. But, somehow, Walt still blamed Jesse for losing the money, as if he'd smoked it all or something... EVEN THOUGH he was there, and knows very well what happened. It's true that it wasn't Walt's fault... But it wasn't Jesse's, either.

I feel like Walt owes Jesse some of the money. The only reason Jesse lost his stash was because of Walt's plan to meet with Tuco, and then Walt's plan to get them out of trouble with Hank. Jesse is responsible for a lot of his own problems, but that one is on Walt.
Walt owed exactly what they agreed to: 50%.

Her analysis is literally the main reason why I'm watching these.
It would be hard not to feel sorry for Jesse in this episode. Aaron Paul gave such a great performance in this episode as he portrayed Jesse's desperation and growing aggravation at everything going wrong.
Jesse is Walt's partner. He owes Jesse half the money they make. Walt was planning to keep it all. Jesse's a fuck up but Walt is a selfish prick.
They already split the money. Why is it Walt's responsibility to give Jesse any of his half? It's the right thing to do to help him, but Walt's half isn't Jesse's.

--> Did you say Jesse used 600$ of Walt for meth (not sure as I'm not anglophone), because if it's what you said so, don't forget he took care of the RV with the money (500$ to park it), so he had only 100$.
I was glad Walt shared with him, I think it was the right thing to do, look: he's the one who made the deal with Tuco in the first place (Jesse was at hospital), then when Jesse wanted to flee to Oregon, he's the one who convinced him it would be ok with a whole motivation speech to make the point it would be the better choice for him ("today is the first day of the rest of your life"). Then when Jesse felt Tuco was an immediate threat and bought a gun for his defense, he's the one who took it by force (for his family) and ordered him to run away with all his money in his car which led to the kidnapping, and Jesse is the one who saved the day for Walt too by shooting Tuco. He's also the one Hank was looking for when going at Jesse's parents (because he had once tell Skyler that Jesse sold him pots), and is the reason why Jesse becomes homeless.
I find that there's really no reason at all that Jesse would take the whole coast of the fiasco and Walt the whole benefit, while really it's mostly a result of Walt's choices.
Adding to that: Jesse paid for the RV, cooked when Walt was ill, took care of the business, provided his basement (and that's why he's homeless)... There woule really be no reason that Jesse would have no retribution, and only coast. Walt had totally his part of the blame in the fiasco, and that was fair to reshare 50-50. And he did, so it's cool.
Jesse didn't paid for the RV mate, Jesse spoiled Walter's money on prostitutes and after that took Combo's RV

@@lucacosta3366 I tied to keep it as ambiguous as possible. I believe most people could reasonably conclude that every single character will dig themselves deeper into a whole as the series progresses. I didn't specify when or how things get worse, and I do not think my comment is a spoiler.

Honestly, Breaking Bad is a series that *demands* to be rewatched. You will catch tons of details and symbolism that you didn't notice the first time around.

I am with Nahid in that I have forgotten so much in this show that I love. So many statements and actions that, since I have seen the whole series, makes so much sense now.
"What are you talking about". Those ruthless eyes Walt gives to Skyler. That's it, that's the point where Skyler is gone. Why are people shitting on her after that? OF COURSE she has to protect herself and her children after that point! Why were people so oblivious of the violence of Walt against her?

I LOVED Skylar this episode, I understand people finding her frustrating because they view her as a foil to Walt, but her actions were justified this episode as she was purposefully frustrating Walt.

Her actions cannot be justified by the reality of what is happening, if she does not know the reality.
Her actions can only be judged relative to what she knows, and she knows that her suffering dying husband is struggling, has had a major breakdown, and nothing else.
In some of the earlier times of the show when people disliked her I didn't much. But she is rightly disliked now, and later, and deserves it all.

This is why I never had sympathy for Jessie. He was a white kid from the burbs and could have had a 9-5 and been straight.
