The gift shop! Yes, part of the molasses do come from Dominican Republic and elsewhere, these days, if not the Rum would cost 4 times the amount to produce! Back in the day RUM was crudely made, everywhere, what really distinguishes our Rums is the process….ahhhh but there are other RUMS like Don Q, our moonshine etc, that we don’t export like your amazing Australian wines, there are plenty of Rums to suit most tastes…Puerto Rico went from an all agricultural society to highly industrial as of around the 1950s, so obviously some things are out sourced these days…. I mean a respectable (400) amount of brands and pharmaceuticals were produced here not too long ago, there’s maybe 60 left Coca-Cola, Lays,
