I am going absolutely bonkers over this. Praying for a Van Richten, Brides, or Rahadin theme. We’re starting a new Strahd game so this is perfect.
Absolutely, Rahadin needs his own theme!! I’m a player in the campaign, so no spoilers please, but Rahadin scares the life outa me for real, he’s just so ominous!
Oh, YES! And Rahadin theme should have "screaming s" violins!

I would also love to see some music for Durst Manor (aka the Death House). I kinda hope that we also see an album for more of Ravenloft in the future.
Would have been great because I made sport out of roasting Rahadin at every opportunity with my halfling. It was hilarious. Unfortunately Rahadin is already dead in our campaign
There once was a tale, of a land shrouded in mists and horrors beyond belief. A tale of a man who destroyed his family, his country, and himself in a one-sided, selfish bid for love. If the tales are true, it damned him to his own personal hell where he was forced to live out a constant cycle of futility. As if to mock him, this prison gave him everything he ever wished for, an entire kingdom of his own, wealth of every kind, and immortality. Everything that is, except the love he sacrificed everything for. That was always just out of his reach, luring him on and on like a moth following a distant flame.
He grew bitter, he began to toy with others who had the misfortune of being drawn into his realm. Constantly searching for someone who could match him, take his throne, fill the empty void of that lost love, but all failed. The cycle continued. On and on and on again.
But... It's just a tale.

This is gonna be incredible! Are you doing all new tracks as well? Is it too hopeful for a Pidlwick II theme? One of my favourite characters, and my players fated ally
My personal hope is a theme for Van Richten. I ended up having him and Ezmerelda share her theme when I used the soundtrack but it never quite felt right.
I will be doing new tracks! I might rework 2-3 of the old ones and add 1-2 new themes :)

Awesome! This is my favorite soundtrack. You will have to leave the old one up though! This was the first campaign I have run and your music was the reason I got it.

Though I had hoped for a LMoP soundtrack next, this is awesome as well! Since some people are suggesting ideas for new tracks, I figured I’d throw in my own lot as well: Yester Hill could make for an interesting track, particularly if inspiration is drawn from James RPG Art’s image of Yester Hill.
Great suggestion! Im only revisiting CoS for 4-5 themes, but I will add new ones with the reworks. Yester Hill is a great suggestion, I had a blast there when I ran the adventure!

A reworked Waltz track, am I correct? I like it though. It's very fitting. I am interested to see what you do with the rest of the album. I thought the first was perfectly fitting, but this intrigues me. Well done!

This is sublime, I love the Regality.
I hate to say it, because I love your work and know you favor Curse of Strahd, but I think I actually prefer the original. This feels much louder, grander, bombastic ... it lacks the subtlety and precision the original had. Sometimes less is more, you know? But I may be speaking prematurely, perhaps when the other reworked tracks are released this will fit better into that cohesive whole.
I agree, this sounds too upbeat for CoS. To me, this would fit perfectly for Wild Beyond the Witchlight where you have that Fey horror vs. Gothic horror. This sounds very Fey horror.

I was going to reorchestrate them at first, but the files are lost on my old PC. I plan to rework about 3-4 of them and add one or two new ones :)

Lats night, I finished my second campaign of Curse of Strahd. Both campaigns were epic, depressing, atmospheric, and all the players had an absolute blast. Both of these soundtracks were a cornerstone in each campaign. They made the experience so special, from every session recap to the final battle with Strahd. I've listened to these songs countless times in my prep-time. Anyone who runs Curse of Strahd must use these two albums.

I have loved Ravenloft since I6 Ravenloft. I loved running House of Strahd and created a soundtrack for it using movie soundtracks like Brahm Stoker's Dracula and others. I really like the idea of using your Ravenloft soundtrack in my next running of that grand horror adventure.
Dude. a classical piece you can take some inspiration from are from Litvinovski. specially if you DM and it's the party's first time meeting strahd

I'm closing my eyes picturing this as the opening credits to a DnD Strahd Netflix series. Hope that was the intention.

This to me feels like the prologue. Like a narrator is explaining the Demi-plane concept and giving some lore while the camera swoops over the misty moors and pans up to reveal castle ravenloft while the opening credits roll

I think the previous intro was more powerful and scary. This doesn't sound as ominous. That doesn't mean I don't like it, it's just different. Which is actually great, because it means it doubles the amount of soundtracks of this theme I have at my disposal, just with a slightly different spin on them 😎
This theme is so versatile along with being amazing, it fits into almost any campaign

Timing couldn't be better. Right now, my players are traveling through the Shadowfell trying to get back to Barovia after 17 years since they were ejected from there.
And they're more than familiar with the "Through the Mists" album.
God, I can already imagine their faces when I start using the updated soundtracks :D

"Well before we part ways, enjoy the drink and the tale of Lord Strahd" the old man says as he throws magical dust unto the flames making it burn green and within the green flames as he narrates the tale. You see a silhouette of a man on a horse.

i enjoy this, like the joy of a conqueror wrought from their heart to sound. joyful yet still tainted with that dark malice and mystic aura from the original like strahd as a mortal man overlooking his early conquests. warm yet still in spite of the strange and dark stones which it rests for now waiting to be torn down with the motifs established.
