Nigel Godrich. From the basement is his show and he was also radiohead's producer for many of their albums which is why he brought them on for two episodes, and why the mix is just so perfect
Me and my Mom were homeless and Jumping all over family’s Homes, but nobody really wanted me and my mom’s Problems on their Plates. Understandable... I would listen to this Video Religiously Almost everyday when I was 17 and were going through all that my mom was all I needed. She passed away a few years back. But the hard times were the Most closest I’ve ever been to her. Radiohead seriously Helped with mostly all of my Emotions. I thank Radiohead and my mom.
That long shot on Colin at 3:13 showing the build up and transition to the outro is my favorite shot in this whole session. The way he just drops that groove and digs into it... love it. Elite group of musicians.

This song is just perfect in every part. Jonny alternating between piano and glockenspiel (I guess), Colin's bassline, Phil's awesome groove, Ed's atmospheric and necessary guitar parts, Thom's passionate melodies and the intense and beautiful outro. It gives so much it's incredible!
I remember my ex and i were starting to fight. We were in the car and this was being in the background. I think that was the most cinematic experience that ive got so far
I was born in 06 and I have heard and loved Radiohead all my life, but this song, it may not be their best or most progressive, this song sticks, I never forget it; it keeps me hopeful, nostalgic and sad at the same time.
Radiohead music makes me get back to life, takes me out of my automatic life, returns me my humanity by making me feel sad. It remembers me that I'm still alive.
I go through phases with different Radiohead songs and this one is officially the latest. The lyrics of this song is so beautiful to me. And the way Collin just jams out to in this song is life!
Last night the love of my life asked me in the car to play ONE SONG that described how I felt about her. Recently we've been throwing around the word married... and she isn't saying no❤ thanks Tom York❤❤❤
Most difficult part of music is that when you lose someone you can't experience it the same way. You run away from something that you've listened with years because it hurts you unintentionally...
what a happily depressing way to express trying to show what you’ve given in someone’s life when they are turning away. the song is a perfect 10/10. i could think radiohead wrote this and said “let’s see chris martin do that.”
Welcome to the Radiohead level. At this level the best lead guitarist ever can instead play piano & xylophone. I wonder how many instruments they can all they play combined!
strange that the reason I'm coming back to this video is because of the recent tribute mashup that someone did for MF DOOM's recent passing, as it used this song for the beat.
The bass is the lyrics.

@@saffronifer it's all that Navy Poppa needs, the bass i mean. Get it?

Therapy is expensive, but this video is free. Such a beautiful world to live in.
I watched this the day before my first therapy session a few weeks ago. Shit calmed me down so much. You’re so correct.
World is actually pretty shitty. People like Thom make it beautiful
my friend introduced me to this song and it's my favorite ever since..
we're lucky.

The only song in the world that can cure depression.

It's crazy.
Same 😢 but its wow
You are not alone....
One of the best outros I've heard in a song ever
Lucasmkv , I love the intro too
Yup.
Weird fishes is better imo. It ties the song together and this one isn't as fulfilling
Definitely one of their best songs
Always imagined it in a game trailer
Whoever the audio engineer for this space is, he's a fucking legend.
Nigel Godrich. From the basement is his show and he was also radiohead's producer for many of their albums which is why he brought them on for two episodes, and why the mix is just so perfect
Notice he mimicked Thom's vocals for the piano mic, same reverb level and everything.
It's such a great set. Every song sounds so warm here. Shame we never got AMSP

i find it insane that its even possible to make xylophone go with drum and guitar really well
Thom - moody, uplifting, bassy, extra bonus Ed noise = perfection. The ultimate band, song, version and atmosphere! Thank you Radiohead

The Emin9 - G - C9 chord progression in the outro spreads such a melancholic power. All I need.
how is this better than the album version when the album in its entirety is already perfect???
It just is....
The sonic quality of the bass groove is very nice on this version.
