A magnificent video! You have created an excellent resource for dungeon masters and players. I recommend everyone interested in campaigning in the Forgotten Realms watch and listen carefully to this. So many ideas for adventures here such as Mythallars, artifact creation, Nether Scrolls, Rock Gnome subjugation, Elven influence, Orcish annihilation, ancient human rivalries, and much more! Thank you for this! Perhaps the use of “Lou Laum” rather that “Eye OuLamn” is a clever way of discussing his story without drawing his unwanted attention?
@@AGS363 In classic D&D fashion, it took an extra session to get to the fight, but it went well! I think I planted a few solid hooks that will get them interested in traveling to Netheril. Also playing around with an idea for a post-Fall society on the fringes of the Underdark under the craters of some of the fallen cities with a Dark Mechanicum vibe!
Will you be making more videos like these? I would love to follow along and listen. Your voice and approach makes the listening experience quite enjoyable. ❤
In a nutshell this is Faerun's Atlantis. Lost empire of great magical power that left conveniently placed treasure filled ruins scattered about the land. If you are familiar with Conan the Barbarian you get the idea. For Forgotten Realms it could also be considered the Roman Empire.
My first video of yours. Absolutely phenomenal quality and depth of information, on par with the bigger guys like Lorepedia, but, while he's fantastic, my issue with Lorepedia is he tends to jump topics kinda randomly, repeat himself, and kinda sounds like he's a bored intern reading from a textbook. My only note for this video is that "Ioulaum" starts with an "i" and not an "L". "Ee-yo-lahm" or "Eye-yo-lahm". Otherwise incredible work and you got my subscribe!
I'm glad you liked it. Scouring over lore books I don't know how many times I read Ioulaum's name, I just have to laugh at myself for reading it incorrectly for so long. I appreciate your observant note.
Ioulaum is spelled with an I, not an L. It sounds as if you are saying his name as Lou-Lahm. I don't believe that is correct. Or, are you saying Ooh-Lahm, and I'm hearing you incorrectly? The Netherese also tried to move into Realmspace.

My players are fighting a vampire, who was a Netherese noble before the Fall, in two days. This video's timing is incredibly fortuitous! Great work!
How did the fight go?

Could you make more lore videos?
Certainly, I'm working on the next one now.

This isn't ai is it?
You are pronouncing Ioulaum wrong !!!!
What you are actually pronouncing is Loulaum .
For some reason your video is being flagged for small children and will only play on full screen.
