Pros and cons of our 2017 LS XR4150 tractor. I’d give it a 4.5 out of 5 stars. We use it for EVERYTHING. Link to LS Tractor: lstractorusa.com/?ut... #lstractor #tractorreview #xr4150tractor
I have an LS and Love it. On the regen: When the light comes on just keep working. Don’t inhibit. If you are working and have it running at higher RPMs it will reach temp and will regen while you are working no need to stop. Thanks for the review.
At least you got that "Rig" before the fiasco started; when Tractors were made RIGHT. Also good to hear that you put some decent hours on it. Too bad for the ECU "Blow-out" ( it was made by human-beings), & just maybe it got "heat-saturated";--- problems happen. Thank you Sir for the Excelent vidio and happy safe tractoring. Best wishes with all your endeavours.
Just ordered a Kubota MX5800HST without thinking about shopping, but both kubota tractors I have already has been brutally reliable. But the price difference is a lot that I will look next time. With the issues you have had a dealer fairly close would be required for me to consider an LS. Thanks for the review
@@thedrunkenbullranch maybe run your engine rpm's a little higher, I do that with mine dealer told me to keep rpms up will keep dpf cleaner and won't regen as much, just a thought
@@thedrunkenbullranch I have the same one also and haven't had any issues at all, regens every 50 hours or so.. my hoses don't even rub the hood.. it's a 2017 also, and I have around 650 hours on it.
I have a 2018 new holland workmaster 35 it regens I believe about ever 20- 30 hours however I believe as long as rpm above 1800 you can work right through, during regen
@@thedrunkenbullranch That is odd. I have never heard of a tractor that when in regen you have to stop using it. I have a 40hp LS tractor that is the same engine as yours, just tuned differently, and while in regen i work it as normal. Have you ever asked your dealer about it?
Is the steering telescopic or just tilt? I sat in a 4046 with a cab and felt like the steering wheel was very "low" and i was almost reaching "down" to get my hands on it.
Yes you can tell by the position of the forward or reverse handle. However if you are not familiar with the tractor it would nice to have another indicator.
I have noticed it seems to have improved by running regular diesel and not the off road or red dye type. Also I run it at 2200 rpm. I can use it during a burn off as long as I increase my rpms and don't power it down.
I haven't tried to resale an LS tractor yet. The dealer that I work with says they hold there value. Unfortunately I personally don't have any experience on that one.

Totally agree. I have the same tractor and when the Regen starts I just keep right on working.
Thanks for sharing your review, we tractor buyers appreciate your experience. Cheers! Bruce

Lack of DPF and Regen is what pushed me to look at Mahindra and CNH.
Nice review brother!

I have one great tractor
Got the same XR4150 but with ag tires mine regens around every 50 hrs it's performed perfect 3 yrs old got 400 hrs on it
Hmm... makes me think something is wrong with mine.

Regen is set in your ecu. I run mine in the 15-1800 rpm area and Regen every 50 hrs no matter how I run it.

By the looks of the moisture on the end of the tailpipe your getting ready to have regen issues
You don't have to stop when it goes into regen.

That is interesting. Mine you have to shut everything down and let it do its thing.

@@dustinslanec6747 I will ask the dealer. Thanks for the comments.
I bought a XR4150HC in 2018, does everything I need it too, regens at 50hr on the dot. What type of fuel are you running, on road or off road?
I'm running off road. Dealer said that it should be fine. But I am going to switch just to find out if that is the problem.
Is the steering telescopic or just tilt? I sat in a 4046 with a cab and felt like the steering wheel was very "low" and i was almost reaching "down" to get my hands on it.
Mine is just tilt. But the seat adjusts up and down forward and back. Which makes it tolerable for me.
To help on regain went you running tractor keep the rpm up 1800 all the time I got ux6168 it Regain ever 50 hr
I have tried that. It still regens every 10-20 hours. But thanks for the advice.
travel direction indicator. wouldn't the position on the reverser handle itself show that?
Yes you can tell by the position of the forward or reverse handle. However if you are not familiar with the tractor it would nice to have another indicator.
Did you sort out the regen issue? Like to get it only every 50hrs and to be able to use it while it’s doing the burn off.

@@thedrunkenbullranch sounds like a reasonably decent resolution to a major annoyance/problem. Glad to hear it. (I have a mt357hc on order.)
What did you pay for it?
About 35k
It looks like your low on engine coolant.
It was. I took care of that after the video.
Resale value?
