Purchased two wire freedoms a month ago. I live here in Illinois so we drove straight to the warehouse. we had them within 24 hours. Couldn't imagine waiting for my bike to show up. Plus I saved about $600 in shipping. I also felt the shake in the handlebars.l Reached out to Steven (CEO)and he sent me to VSCO 70 headsets and they work great. Now I can ride free handed at any speed. I really love the wired freedom!43+MPH!

I’ve had my Freedom since late Aug and there is a wobble with the rear battery installed. No wobble with it removed. I received the Visco Hellbender headset from Wired and just took it today to my local bike shop to have it installed. Your videos are great, thanks for putting them out there.
I bought my son a motor goat V3 and I’ve had so much fun on it. I am looking for something for myself. At 6‘5“ it’s not as easy to find something for my size.
Hey, you’re right in my backyard at Folsom lake. I’m 6’2’ 240lbs how tall are you and how does the frame fit you, is the Freedom strong enough for the steep hills around here . I’m debating getting the dual motor.

Since you're getting the Wired Freedom 2024 Gen 2 and in touch with Wired, is Wired doing offering any upgrade paths for those who had the short lived 2024 Gen I model that can overheat and shut down on long uphill stretches? The impression I have is Wired does care about their customers... I was tremendously impressed the owner had called me once regarding a tech support issue (not related to the over heating problem) on a Superbowl Sunday!

I placed the order very late Thursday, and should receive on Tuesday per shipping. Is a lot of money for me.
i can't wait until you get your bike, seriously the Freedom is the best 2k purchase i've ever made. i was fortunate to not have any wobble issues and will still be installing my hellbender because why not. changed my tires to Origin8 supercells which i highly, HIGHLY recommend but i do 95 percent pavement riding. also take the time to setup your suspension which Solar Surron showed me how.
I have a 1 month old dual battery Freedom with a surfboard rack mounted on the rear. I definitely have the wobble at higher speeds but I have been attributing it to the board and rack. Maybe the headset will help
I bought a current generation wired freedom with only 73 miles on it for $1500 the other night, and the guy who I bought the bike from installed the hellbender headset on incorrectly. I’m really hoping that my local bike shop will be willing to fix the problem, considering it’s not electrical or anything necessary e bike related.
@@leetjohnson good! It’s quite apparent that mine wasn’t installed correctly and now it has me looking over the bike to see what else the previous owner might have done to it.
@@leetjohnson no, I really wish I could show you a picture of what the problem is. The best way I know how to describe it, is do you know that little round sliver of plastic that gets left behind on the bottle of soda after you unscrew the cap? Well, there is a black ring of plastic that feels about like that kind of plastic and is about the same thickness as well (without those teeth like with bottles) which goes around what appears to be the top of the hellbender headset thingy. As this ring of plastic goes around the outside circumference above the headset, some of it is tucked in to the crevice, and some of it is sticking out. It’s obviously not supposed to be this way, and it’s hard to tell if that sliver of plastic is supposed to be attached still or if it was supposed to be pulled off all altogether.

@@leetjohnson for mounting without weaken frame and to have enough flesh for M5 I did as follows... a 3x70x350mm al sheet was glued ontop the frame with 2k epoxy and secured with M4 (only cut 4mm holes in the sheet and cut M4 thread in frame!!).. after glue was set I then cut M5 through the sheet and the frame tubing together ... now you could lift the whole bike with grabbing that added pack ... much stiffer as press inserts and does not weaken frame .. while for press inserts you have to cut 4 X 10mm holes...
@@leetjohnson Look how papablueshirt uses 3 packs (all at front) ... he bought a bike that already has double pack and mounted a third on top tube ... as more load you add at front as more stable is the bike against wobble
you must be talking about the new dual star issue which is yet to be addressed, maybe go ahead and make a vid on that....the Wired bikes are also UL certified ;)
They mentioned that they were going to be including a steering stabilizer for free going forward to address any concerns. I'm interested to see what it is like first hand!
Well not exactly......CS glosses over the wobble to the point that the CS I spoke with told me there was no problem. My dual battery 2024+ wobbles at just 3 miles per hour. What Wired did for me is send an email instructing me to tighten the stock stem bolt to the point of no further, then air the tires to 28 psi and in the email said that would fix the wobble..NOT. The email also stated that all of the " NEW CRUISERS " would have the Vesco headset installed, however the email did not mention the same for the FREEDOM.....My Hellbender Vesco 70 headset is in transit to me. Tracking says it will arrive in 3 or 4 days.......que sera sera. Good luck everybody with your dual battery Freedom.
Headset works great. Every e cell dual star is more prone to wobble than the Freedom. Wired has an exclusive on the Hellbender so no way for e cells to fix their bikes.
I'm sitting here looking at 60v 5000w dual motor 32ah 52 MPH ebikes built just like the wired freedom and E-Cells for a fraction of the price on Amazon
@diysolaradventures7894 right on! They are probably solid, but I've found that you often get what you pay for....that being said, I think they would be a great value. Let me know if you get one how it does!!
My 2024+ Cruiser has pretty stiff steering to the point where you can’t really ride it no handed not even for a few seconds. It’s so stiff it just immediately dives to one side or the other.

@@leetjohnson correction I just looked it has a Cane Creek Hellbender 70 VISCO on it. I think that’s the stabilized model? If so, that might explain it but the side effect may be too stiff to ride no handed.
@@bizzfo it's adjustable, that's how the stabilizers work. if you're not sure how contact Cane Creek or look up on of their TH-cam vids it's very helpful. it's all about rider preference same way your suspension is adjustable.
Anything can be used off road but is it safe and will the bike break if used off road? I hope someone doesn't have to find out the hard way. Wired won't answer the question.

I have had Origin8 Supercells and they are fantastic for road riding and sooo smooth and quiet!

to avoid that wobble I mounted my 2nd battery ontop the frame not on the rear ... that Added stability to the front instead make it wobble
@dg9bfc great idea!!! I was actually thinking they should choose a central mount for the 2nd battery rather than the back.
