Coming from a TnSU fan AoB...but TC sounded like they had something to prove...JSU cared but not as much as TC....all in all TC got my respect....we already know who JSU is..no point to prove.

I'm not that big on stand battles. However this battle was everything! It was truly entertainment and intensity. JSU is one of my 3 favs. But Talladega was able to stand up against a legend. I've seen Jackson before. I was there. I was shocked at how much heat Dega kame and matched Jackson. Thanks to both programs. I enjoyed that battle.

This was definitely a interesting matchup. If it wasn't for the announcer they would've kept going lol but you can definitely tell the difference especially with sound quality. TC has a brighter sound, JSU on the other hand has a more dark and mature sound. You could tell TC was playing like they were trying to prove a point, and Jackson definitely had answers for them lol I'm giving it to JSU but no cap TC ain't no pushover especially with their power

Lmao.....We held bck because Southern heritage classic at the time tenn state was there which is our opponent in the southern heritage classic which is 9/8. Last night was it for dega until Southern heritage classic PARADE. Lmao
You would think that Talladega would be better than they are since they don't have a football team and no games to prepare for which gives them somewhat of an advantage over other band programs because they have more time on their hands to practice their music and perhaps come up with some worthwhile arrangements, but its seems all their director is focused on is power. You will need more than power going up against polished bands like JSU, BCU, and SU because these 3 bands are well-oiled machines, Tallafaka is still trying to get to that point.
Jsu played old standards and a few tunes from the merge. They keeping the book sealed and keeping the real heat for season. This an exhibition and talladega was trying to hard with them new arrangements and still couldn't touch the boom. And for those complaining about jsu playing old songs.... Question, so if they take an L based on that ... then that would mean southern toke an L last year for basically doing the same thing playing old songs against the same band... ? Come on now stay consistent .... that hate real for Jackson and season haven't even started lol
Also boom fans. I love y'all but this is the full band maybe minus 10-20 who possibly couldn't make the trip. Stop this we 200 plus garbage. We are not that size. We are a little bigger than the 2012 edition and still pushing sound for our size. Boom can hand Ls at any size.

Talladega, all you head was Low Brass/Tubas, thats it. Not sure how folks are coming up with the conclusion that JSU took an L to Talladega. I mean they BOTH were clearly pushing. Talladega Euphos are definitely helping push that sound A LOT and drowning the shit out of the band at times.

Man this battle was damn good. U can tell they never faced each other but boom held bck on songs because unlike dega, jsu actually has games to prepare for with one being tenn state which was there. Could have been even more intense but u like dega jsu directors are respectful to announcer but had to get that last one in.

TC definitely had a point to prove, little does everyone know, they are only 5 or so years old as a band. The school had lost accreditation for many years and is rebuilding. For a new program, they've grown SWIFTLY. They already as big as AAMU and ASU, the other two major HBCUs in Alabaama

...but where is the musically with Talledega? Just sounds like a lot of over "screaming" brass and punches. Doesn't sound musical at all. No lifts, drops, undertone brass and woodwinds... Just a lot of loud playing. That's the only thing about most HBCU bands that I wish they did a tad bit different; more creative arrangements. NSU, Southern, A&T,Bethune, do a good job with making it a musical experience and not just alot of over playing and trying to see who's the loudest. Just my opinion.

I applaud Dega for the creativity, coming with the Power Theme Song. But that arrangement was mediocre at best. Hell all their arrangements are mediocre. They have the volume (Thanks to the baritone, even tho they drown out the rest of the band).
