    for 600 dollars, seems to be working ok. Amazing that a young man like you was raised with such a good work ethic as to want to work and get things done. WTG! sure your mom is very proud of you. Great Job, mom!

      Donna, thank you for the heartfelt comment. And yes, Austin is always working on something. He has always been mature beyond his years. He will spend much of his time with the older farmers and craftsmen that live just down the road and learn from them. Of course they love sharing their knowledge too. Austin is definitely a unique young man, and I am so very proud of him!

    Awesome video. You made it down the trail to I'd definitely put up some flag's and stakes or a reflector on a stake to warn you about the narrow spot with the drop off as your going to be hauling Hay out of there as well .. that old mower for 600 is awesome still preformed awesome especially in that thick hay..

    Guy seems like he does everything high gear fast as he can .

      This tractor is almost too fast for the haybine. 4 low is to slow but 1 high is too fast. I also have to keep my rpm’s up. I try too keep it around the 18 mark.

      Austin is 14. He absolutely loves everything to do with farming, tractors, and heavy equipment. He’s been that way since he was a toddler.

      Your field doesn't look drought stressed.
      But
      Nitrate poisoning can happen in drought stressed corn, sudan, and. Johnson grass. I'm not an expert, so look up high nitrate poisoning / purusic acid to learn about it.

    • @RockWellAcresFarm2023
      @RockWellAcresFarm2023  ปีที่แล้ว

      As far as I understand, it has something to do with a frost, and the plant cells inside the grass bursting that causes the poison.

      I didn’t know that about corn. Hmmm…

      Yes, looks like you are doing great.
      Work with what you have and be Thankful for it.
      Clean the equipment off, so you dont spread that Johnson grass to the other fields
