Rock Well Acres Farm
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 12 ส.ค. 2023
We are a family of 6 that recently moved to a 200+ acre property in northwest Arkansas. While small-scale hobby farming is not new to us, we are determined to grow our farm so we can be more self-sufficient during these modern times. Follow us as we raise animals, build our new homestead, sawmill and construct a new barn, and clear pastures and ponds with heavy equipment. We also homeschool our children and teach them life skills like gardening, hunting, and woodworking. We believe every day is a blessing and give all glory to God for the increase!

Great tractor.. my grandpa had a farmall cub he did everything with it ..
😊I greet you from Ukraine😊
The Lord Be with You.......... give thanks in all things.
im in nwarkansas
I have a Farmall superA that was my grandpa tractor and I love it
It's not that hard I'm doing the same thing to my grandpa tractor
Where have you all been
Need to Tedder the hay before raking so it can dry out and get the moisture that builds up underneath during the night before baling
You don’t need to Tedder we just let it dry out for a few days then rake and bale it
I glad to find your channel Love the vibe Tgat cold start bring a very good memory One of our family friend have very big farm 100 to 150 acres fields so he use very big equipment One summer i stay at his farm and help him (need money and he pay good i feed the animals most of the time ) But i helped him fix an old monster a K-700 he bought it take one week till we make that old beast work But that cold start oh man your farmall bring back that good memory so thanks And make a good use of that farmall old stuff work better than new one if you maintain them well That K-700 worked five years and still working and only have one major problem with her intercooler Keep the work ❤️
Dont make the bales to tight, is not worth it, you are gonna make the baler give up on chains and bearings, make it a at 100-120 bars, I don't know in what it measure to you, but when you push it that hard is gonna break, trust me :), greetings from a guy in romania, who learned by himself to bale :)
Love the video. You have heart and passion in what you do young man. Keep working on that old girl you will eventually get her working like she should. God Bless and love your Trump sign "Go Blondie get us back where we were".
His method of thinking repairs out is spot on when working on old farm equipment. Don’t give up on it and keep fixing and replacing worn items and it will work very well!!!
I'm curious as to why you didn't use a tamped gravel base? Also, I've seen some others use some rebar wire. Thanks
Forget the negative nancys. You guys are doing great. I was a wee youngin and sittin on bale wagon way back in '75. Now im 52 and make idiot bales. Only bad thing I see is, get a fire extinguisher on that baler. With dry hay rows and a bearing over heats or goes out, you wont get that baler off the field fast enough, especially if hay is in it. Keep up the good work. Hope you guys stay around.
That looks like a weed patch not a hay field
Ha, my grandpa had a 52 super A. Thing never ran after I was born as there was no reason for it to then. Always liked it. Had a complete stock mower deck that I have yet to see elsewhere. The mower itself being belt driven. And while I did see some that were close to its design, I didn't find the exact one. Brings back many memories.
Have it restored
It's a runner!!
Did he really attack you? Did you get hurt?
I'm the guy that bought your crazy wheel rake. I saw this title and was like "1000$? I payed more than twice that" but it's a different rake. Phew, lol
You did great getting it to run nothing is more satisfying that to hear a tractor running after it's been sitting for years I have done this myself and at 58 years old it excites me to hear it start up and running I'm doing a Super A as of right now that has been sitting over 20 years got it for free all I got to do is bring it back so the previous owner's dad can drive it one more time hey I'm glad you got it going your great grandpa is looking down and smiling saying good job have fun and enjoy your tractor
He's learning
For $ 600..it seems OK. Good luck, hope it won't cost you much, to repair the baler.
That slime in the oil pan is sludge and it can come from not running long enough to evaporate the condensation or it could be a bad head gasket or a bad head crack or this engine may have wet sleeves and it is possible for the jug to erode enough to leak into the oil or a o-rings. You should get a bunch of yogurt containers wash the out and put your nuts and bolts in and take a marker and write oil pan and if there are any longer ones or shorter ones write a note and put that note in the container. Document everything because you will forget and if you put a long bolt where a short one should be you can destroy the engine. Take lots of pictures and mark everything you can 😀🇨🇦
Hello good to see a young man interested in something that makes the world a better place instead of eating Cheeses and playing video games. That bad ring gear will be just in one spot and that will be the spot where the engine always stops when you shut it off, don’t ask me why 😀 So if you just grab the fan and push down on the belt you can manually turn the engine enough to get it past the bad teeth or do what I did and make a crank for it I did that for my 8N Ford until I had time to split it and fix it. Just always be careful it’s in neutral!! You might want to check your coil to make sure that it’s a 12V or a 6V , if you’re using a 12v battery on a 6v coil it will eventually melt and if your still on the 6v system make sure that your wiring is right because it is originaly a positive ground. And the longer your battery cables the less power to the starter and it will be very hard on the starter also and if your keeping it original 6v positive ground the thicker and shorter your cables the better. I would suggest a compression test because it smokes so much you probably will need a rebuild soon and your oil pan has 2 pet cocks for high and low levels and because it sat so long after you filled up the coolant and ran it hot after it cools down I would just crack the oil pan drain plug a turn or so until it starts dripping and see if water or antifreeze comes out, I always bring a crescent with me when I am buying a tractor to take a little oil sample it has been a very good thing to do it has saved me from an expensive headache! And if you have brakes and your starter is not working you can always very very carefully pull start it if someone is willing to help you you can put your 8N in 2nd gear and the A in the highest gear and make sure you know your hand signals and your somewhere safe and there is no traffic and no kids and don’t do it unless you can trust each other 😀🇨🇦
Why didn't you siphon some gas out of the fourwheeler and mix it for the weedwacker ?
Are you going to make more ❤videos ❤I like your videos and want to see more of the tractor ❤if you do make a donation site❤I will donate $$$❤
You can make it run, I have my dad’s 100 I disked the garden last week with it And my Brother has our Grandfather’s Model A with hand lifts. If possible don’t get a Chinese carburetor. On the left side upper oil pan is 1 or 2 large wing nuts turn them counter clockwise and that’s how you check the oil. Good job saving the old Tractor 👍
Paid too much
It takes about 2 years of running a machine to get the bugs out. Get ahold of the owners manual it has all you need to make the adjustments. Take your time with the old equipment and you will do fine. You have a new subscriber! Keep Smilin!!!!
Hows she comin along?
Wash out the motor with diesel fuel
Throw you some nuts and bolts in it and shake the heck out of it
Jtwes channel good vibes
Pull your starter first and look in there and take your bar and turn your motor over and look for missing any teeth on ring gear if so you heat it up pull it and replace
What did you say 14 mm now look here that tractor was made in USA there was no metric back then and if I’m wrong lol I’ll buy you a coke
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Love these videos of young men working on their old tractors 🚜 and when it’s their grandfathers even more

Nice job getting it going. I am proud to see the younger generations bringing these great tractors back to life. My kids and I are bringing my grandfathers 49 super a back to new. Keep it up!
a real farmer would never wear crocs.
Stop the music ruins the video
Awesome job!! Be proud!!!
Get that old girl in a shed! She’s earned an easy retirement. That tractor will clean up real nice super easy to work on and anything on it is easily rebuildable! Will make a nice add to the farm!
good job young man, Is saving history
Pete from 'just a few acres farm' TH-cam channel is a huge Farmall guy and has quite a few restoration and how to videos on a lot of Farmall models. And also Andrew Hanna's TH-cam channel has some Farmall content including him splitting a Farmall B which is similar to your A I know most Farmall flywheel ring gears can be heated and removed and then flipped so the gears are "fresh" the only downside is, if the starter gear is rounded from grinding. You gotta figure out if it's starter gear, flywheel ring gears or both
This is rat behavior
