"Ripley and the Soldiers": Sigourney Weaver said that "Aliens" was about Guns. I always thought it was about Family. In 1986, I noticed that Ripley was able to "get close quickly" to Rebecca, unlike the female Marines. A reviewer of the time summed it up as "Sisterhood!" When I got the Special Edition Laserdisc(!) in 1990, I confirmed that Ripley had been a parent. (Too bad "post modern Hollyweird" got it all wrong.)
Aliens, all of the alien films I have found to be smart and very frightful. I don't get that fear in the pit of my stomach with other Syfy films. So mostly I can definitely say that the Alien franchise has made others boring and unattractive. Yes Aliens is a great movie but it makes other flicks not so much.

Thank you for your comment 😊
The 4-K SUPER HIGH DEFINITION blu-ray version will be available in March.
We cannot wait 😊
As far as I'm concerned, Aliens - not Alien is the greatest sci-fi horror film ever made
I'm sure many a film critic has spent hours arguing this very good point 😊
Aliens
True masterpiece
We think so too 😊

Yes, even now many years later on rewatches it can still be terrifying... 😊
