    Good Review, thanks so much! is Bose 700 UC works for Mute/UnMute function while on the office WebEx conference call?

    • @RawansReviews

      Thanks for your feedback! Unfortunately I don't have access to WebEx to try, but my gut feeling says it's (yet) not working. Mute/unmute did not work on Zoom, so that could be an indicator. Sorry I can't be of more help!

    Hello!
    Did anyone had the chance to test the UC on Linux?
    As Linux suffers from BT issues that make wireless headphone useless when mic is also needed, I was wondering if using this dongle can solve the issue and Linux users finally enjoy wireless headphones with functioning mic

    Hey have you notice electric static noise during a relatively silent call? I can hear some high pitch noise in the background if the volume is high. I tried two units and they behaves similar. This noise only presence if dongle is used and mic is on.

    • @RawansReviews
      @RawansReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Interesting. I had an MS Teams call today and for a few minutes, I was the only one on the call. And I could hear that static you mentioned. It seemed to disappear when others joined the call (or it was overshadowed). I haven't tried it without the dongle though, I'll try to do that soon.

    One more perfect review. Thanks!
    So, you're sure that there is no hardware difference between 700 and 700UC? At the moment I can purchase 700 + USB dongle separately for 1450 + 200 PLN in Poland, 1650 total, or 700 UC bundle for 1999 PLN, and I wonder where this price difference comes from.

    • @RawansReviews
      @RawansReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks Alex! Yes, to my knowledge (from a ton of research and reading, also watching videos / reading releases from Bose), that there's no hardware difference between the two, but maybe get in touch with Bose to confirm 100%? Could the difference in price be because of some ongoing promotion on the 700 but not the 700 UC? Or is that normal retail price? PS: I ended up purchasing them seperately as well. Normal price was €400 for the 700, €450 for the 700 UC. The dongle seperartely costs €50. So it adds up. However there was a €130 promo on the 700, so even with the €50 dongle, it was still €80 cheaper to buy seperately.

    • @RawansReviews
      @RawansReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Fabrice! When I initially tested it on Skype for Business, it did not appear to work--but testing it now on both Mac and PC, and the same gesture (touch-tap and hold) that mutes MS Teams now also mutes Skype as well. The LED color on the dongle changes to red as well, as it does with MS Teams. Hope this helps!

    Hi how are you comfortable using NC700 with glasses? I tested before, maximum I can only stand for 1 hour then I start to feel pain behind the ear. Any tips for this?

    • @RawansReviews
      @RawansReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. Glasses are tricky indeed with headphones. It's rare to find any headphones that are completely comfortable with glasses, but I find some are more comfortable than others. The Bose 700 isn't the most comfortable, but I don't find it that annoying either. (In contrast, the Apple AirPods Max, for example, were intolerable for me with glasses). Unfortunately, this all depends on the size of your head, and in a way on your glasses (and the clamping force of the headphones), so not much I could recommend besides trying to reposition the headphones on your ears from time to time, moving slightly forward, or backward.

    • @RawansReviews
      @RawansReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there. Yes you can still have a multipoint connection without the USB Link. The USB Link simply bypasses your computer's built in Bluetooth (and gives you better compatibility with MS Teams). But either way, you can still connect 2 devices at the same time!

    Hi Rawan, Great review. I have a desktop without inbuilt Bluetooth. Will buying the USB link allow me to connect my bose to the desktop?

    • @RawansReviews
      @RawansReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the comment. Yes certainly, the USB Link is essentially an external USB Bluetooth dongle. Once you pair it with the 700s, connecting to your desktop will become a breeze; turn on the 700s and they'll connect automatically within a few seconds.

      @RawansReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I know there are a few made specifically for the QC 35, but I'm not aware of any made specifically for the NC 700s. You might have to do some searching around to see if there are any that fit on the 700 maybe. Good luck!

    So this thing has both Bluetooth and usb and can switch between both on two separate devices? Did I get that right?

    • @RawansReviews
      @RawansReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not quite. The headphone itself supports multipoint connectivity, so it can connect to 2 devices at the same time, and (generally) switches automatically between them when it detects audio. Not quite sure what you mean by USB, but if you mean the USB dongle, then that's just an external Bluetooth adapter that replaces your laptop's built in Bluetooth. Hope this clarifies things! Cheers

    Thanks for the review! It is great. Has anyone tried these with Zoom teleconference??? 6 months ago I bought 700 and had problems when they were connected to 2 devices - my phone and computer (using zoom). When my phone rang, one time I would be able to answer with 700 and sometimes not. Or... If it let me use 700 for my phonecall, I would not be able to switch back to zoom call - I would have to get out of a meeting and come back again to be able to use the 700.

      @@RawansReviews and you tried it with USB module? So basically you are saying that if I purchase only this module and add to my Q 700 I’m getting pretty much Q 700 UC? @@TheHecimovic6 Yes I tried it with the USB module, and yes you are correct, if you purchase the USB Link, you will then have the 700 UC. Updating the firmware is easy, from the Bose app on your phone. It downloads then transfers to the headset. The 700s did not initially come with the same firmware as the 700 UC, but if you’ve recently updated your 700s, then you might already be on the latest firmware.
