Marking shidou does NOT make him good in the slightest.
He can't take a 1v1.
He can't Score without it being a tap in from another player's goal.
He isn't fast or good at dribbling or has ANY sort of game Intelligence.
His buff emo gymboy build ahh Alone carried his ENTIRE character, personality and playstyle and that Alone makes him as good as Aryu or otoya at best 💀

I just realized that the theme of Kunigami being the Hero and Shidou being the Demon is a foreshadowing. The Hero is fated to defeat the Demon King.

This will be my theory on what would happen in the next chapters in the hyped Tri-Flow Triple Reflex Chemistry of Isagi, Hiori, & Kunigami. And who I think will score the first goal for Bastard Munchen:
It would be too peak. Please just for this time, this moment is for Kunigami. If done correctly would be one of the GOATED moments yet in Blue Lock series. I hope Isagi read and analyze the play in this Tri-flow chemical reaction and understand Kunigami's resolve & tenacity to surpass and beat Shidou. By defending him properly then Isagi's reward for Kunigami's heroic acts is to feed him an explosive assist that only he can receive. With pure instinct and reflex. Just like how Hiori & Isagi actualized in the last game. I'm hoping Kuni awakens his Fallen Hero/Darkhorse Aura and have PE, it would be animalistic feature if Kunigami also becomes like a wild beast.
But I want him to be a Knight riding a horse or something to pertain his Heroic Aura/Ego. Isagi receives pass between Hiori & Kuni as they advance themselves to the field. Kuni finally letting go of his greedy & conceited ego, he finally trusts Isagi just as Isagi trusts him. Isagi receives a penultimate pass while Hiori is in Flow as all three are in Flow, but then either Rin & Kaiser maybe even both of em has devil pressed Isagi because they don't want him scoring any goal soon, they obsess on Isagi so much that they might temporarily team up on defense just to devour Isagi completely.
Unshaken by this Isagi saw a light on his peripheral vision. An unrelenting wild beast unchained, waiting for his Defining Moment. Isagi nowhere to shoot even his lefty shot restricted bc Rin either locked him and also Kaiser restricted his scoring options... Isagi challenges Kunigami, if he can share this exact vision with him.
A Cross-Flow Reflex X Reflex EgoistXHero assist just like in Barcha match. Isagi does an insane cross pass that evades Charles, Hiori thought Isagi will pass to nowhere as the ball went flying to an open spot... But both Kuni & Shidou is seen hustling for that ball... Then while Kuni's facing his back against Shidou. He remembers Noa's move against Lavinho and tries to imitate it, but with his own originality and a twist. He does an "impossible" athletic overhead kick while hyperfocusing his eyes to the goal as its revealed he has awakened his very own Predator Eyes.
Either Rin or another PXG player prolly Charles tries to stop it with their Meta-Vision Hacks as it crosses the goal line, but to everyone's surprise bar Isagi, the ball has a nasty movement to it, it produced no backspin at all bc of maximum powered output by Kunigami's legs (either he swung with his left/right bc he's ambidextrous), it passes through both Rin & Charles's feet as they contest the shot, revealing the shot to be knuckleball. It surpassed both Yukimiya's gyro shot and even Chris Prince's knuckleball rendition.
A deserving & hard-earned goal for being defensive CDM that switched to his ST persona, Isagi makes full use of the untapped potential of his fiery, fair & square teammate's very unique skill. The only one in the field who can do that kind of shot, an impossible goal is none other than Kunigami. 👨🏿🍳👨🏿🍳🐐🐎💥 Bastard Munchen ties PXG 1-1 with Kunigami's midshot/ long-range overhead direct line drive knuckleball supergoal, assisted by Isagi

(Maybe a ocular ability called the guiding eye that creates like a target like thing on the ball and the net or just anywhere that is free for him to move and score and will also create a target pattern on the user)
It would be cool for him to get a heavy buff like bachira,isagi and chigiri

@@user-zz4to1vq7e It's gonna be a first if Kunigami has a unique ability. Actually in the anime you can see him having a hitmark/marker perimeters when he was abt to score a knuckleball. Maybe it was foreshadowing for this latent ability. I think if Kaneshiro still remembers Kuni's knuckleball then he can reawaken Kuni's unique skill again. Kunigami is originally a long-range striker/clinical finisher.
He'll have a Shooter's Eye probably, because a hitmark spawned when he targetted the ball (not like Predator's Eye like Kaiser)

Imagine Kunigami links up with Hiori, but then replaces Isagi with Kiyora or Raichi to assist him. Doubt it'll happen, but that chapter would go insane

I just read the chapter where Kunigami is in a machine and anri and ego are talking to him. We have been wondering why he wasn't doing much, compared to other characters and people kept on piling on him; telling he is a FRAUD. Bro Ego specifically says:mi
"You were designed to raise the level of the rest of unpolished gems in my quest to create the world's best player. Throw away your ego Kunigami Rensuke. Achieve a Blank State of mind." Kunigami is SUPPOSED to not shine, he is literally a stepping stone for players like Isagi to get over and become a better version of themselves.
Kunigami is SUPPOSED to be an A-hole, he is SUPPOSED to steal goals not make them, he is SUPPOSED to 1v1 but never steal. Then out of nowhere when Shidou shows up he doesn't lose a SINGLE 1v1 nor the ball, because he finally plays emotionally and passionately, just like how Isagi said.
My entire look towards NEL and Kunigami changed if you ever do a reread like I did, do it like this I bet you guys will respect him even more.

I really want to know what the author gonna give to Kunigami to make him "special". The problem of the Kuni is that he has a "normal ability" (shooting) and sadly there is multi player that have the same but better in shooting, they have to make him more special. The fact that he marked Shidou make me thing that they could switch him position for marking ppl (do the job of Raichi basically). Honestly I don't know but I really want to have the egoist 4 together during all the next match and being one of the strongest but honestly I don't see Kunigami being sub in when you have Rin, Barou and maybe Shidou (I don't see him playing for Japan honestly) in the team

I think that a redemption of kunigami is a bad idea because it doesn't add anything to the story, kunigami is just a striker and there is no more space for him in the blue lock because as a striker he is only the sixth option so why work on a character who doesn't will be used more.
This doesn't even make sense to be a debate- Shidou is on rin and Isagi lvl, kuni is on chirgiri and reolvl lmao. The only reason kuni is doing good is simply plot armor and his revenge story line, no way his defense is > 2 mv users, rachi and a base kaiser because he found motivation lmao. I understand its content though, if u have actual fb comprehension yk this isn't close. I could go into detail but it's truly not needed
