As a Bulgarian, i've heard different stories over and over again. The official one is that Baba Vanga told the military that there is indeed something there, but it's not Samuil' s treasure. Basically the first human being was buried there and an ancient writing telling the lost human history, but even if found they would not be able to understand it yet. The being is neither a male or female, something between a monkey and a human. They didn't dig deep enough to uncover it, because of weird things happening and eventually the government cut fundings anyway. But yes, some weird sudden deaths and i am surprised you didn't include the strange handwritings and schemes that one of the psychic has wrote "talking" to these beings. Honestly, first time I saw this channel I quit the video early because I thought it was seriously buying into all kinds of BS. Later watched an ep all the way through, saw the examination separating the nonsense from the possible and the definite, and I was in love.
People that leave before he goes into critical examinations are idiots, they just want to believe whatever and make up their own realities without looking at all the facts. The whole point of these videos is getting to The Truth, not what people Want to be the truth.

Hi Why Files, I am actually curious of what really transpired in an incident in Miami Mall several months ago, no videos uploaded to really explain what happened. Officers telling it was just an incident of teenagers brawled and lit firecrackers that brought a number of police personnel in the area. Something's not equating the action and number of police for that small incident and I wonder why no one has gotten any videos to suffice circulating rumors about extraterrestrials went out of a portal opened by curious kids. There were reports of people whom their cellphones were checked and confiscated to delete videos and whistleblowers who changed their statements after several hours of posting a confession video about their encounter and experience in that mall. I hope your team can dig deeper about this, since your channel is the only channel I know that can explain this phenomenon. Best of luck Why Files!

Then they got a 911 call from this young Hispanic kid saying that there 10 ft tall “alien or aliens in his backyard. Happened in Las Vegas I believe. No link. TH-cam used to let people upload translations as kind of a volunteer thing, but I think they turned that feature off unfortunately. Here is a workaround that might help. I'm pretty sure you should be able to access the English transcript for the video. If you copy that and paste it into Google translate, it should be able to make a Bulgarian transcript for you, the downside is it will not display on the video. You'd have to read it separately.

Before the US Military arrived , the operation was led by few bulgarian generals and few psychics, one of them Елисавета Логинова (has some old interviews). My grandfather was one of the soldiers who was involved with the digging. Although he never saw anything supernatural, he always told us stories of equipment that stops working , soldiers who have headaches , consistent humming sound coming from the ground. It wasn't a staircase, but a spiral tunnel . The walls looked like man-made.
I personally remember the conditions in Eastern Europe in the 1990s. After the fall of the regime in the USSR, abandoned construction sites were everywhere. If a hole was dug somewhere, no one bothered to fill it up. As children, we loved playing in such places. In the case of the Bulgarian village of Tsarichina, the mystery lies in the fact that someone actually took the trouble to cover the hole. It probably wasn’t just out of consideration for the villagers, to prevent it from becoming a dangerous playground for local kids. Barbed wire would have sufficed for that. I come from Slovakia. My hometown, Nitra, also has a mysterious location with alleged paranormal activity: a mountain range called Tribeč. The hills there are about 800 - 600 meters above sea level, and this small mountain range is surrounded by villages and cities, with hiking trails everywhere. Even so, every few years or so, people disappear there without a trace.
I need to hear more about this. I am from a small town right outside. The capital city of bread is lava. I definitely know we got Hella mysteries, but never really heard of them.

I didn't see the Netflix version, but I did watch the Chinese 30 episode version (on TH-cam.) It was amazing and followed the book very closely. One of the best Sci-fi books I've read in a long time.

As a long-time fan of the Why Files, and a Bulgarian, this hits close to home, literally. This is one of my top 3 favorite episodes. The other two are the one about the Montauk Monster and the one about the AI Apocalypse. Any day with a new Why Files episode is a good day. Long live AJ and Hecklefish!
Watching this video sent chills down my spine. My grandmother used to tell us stories about a secret project in our village back in 1990, but we always thought they were just old legends. She was one of the few locals who worked on it, and she never really talked about what happened, but every time someone asked, her eyes would go dark, and she'd warn us to never go near the site. It's eerie to think this might be the same operation she was part of... Some secrets really are better left buried...

As a Bulgarian, i've heard different stories over and over again. The official one is that Baba Vanga told the military that there is indeed something there, but it's not Samuil' s treasure. Basically the first human being was buried there and an ancient writing telling the lost human history, but even if found they would not be able to understand it yet. The being is neither a male or female, something between a monkey and a human. They didn't dig deep enough to uncover it, because of weird things happening and eventually the government cut fundings anyway. But yes, some weird sudden deaths and i am surprised you didn't include the strange handwritings and schemes that one of the psychic has wrote "talking" to these beings. Hi Why Files, I am actually curious of what really transpired in an incident in Miami Mall several months ago, no videos uploaded to really explain what happened. Officers telling it was just an incident of teenagers brawled and lit firecrackers that brought a number of police personnel in the area. Something's not equating the action and number of police for that small incident and I wonder why no one has gotten any videos to suffice circulating rumors about extraterrestrials went out of a portal opened by curious kids. There were reports of people whom their cellphones were checked and confiscated to delete videos and whistleblowers who changed their statements after several hours of posting a confession video about their encounter and experience in that mall. I hope your team can dig deeper about this, since your channel is the only channel I know that can explain this phenomenon. Best of luck Why Files!

TH-cam used to let people upload translations as kind of a volunteer thing, but I think they turned that feature off unfortunately.
Here is a workaround that might help. I'm pretty sure you should be able to access the English transcript for the video. If you copy that and paste it into Google translate, it should be able to make a Bulgarian transcript for you, the downside is it will not display on the video. You'd have to read it separately.
Theres the new phone that does that in real time with words.
My galaxy A14 is not new, but it has a live caption feature and I love it. It detects different languages.

Before the US Military arrived , the operation was led by few bulgarian generals and few psychics, one of them Елисавета Логинова (has some old interviews). It was supposedly a very complex spiral like staircase leading to a supposedly to " nor male or female , nor human or monkey" being as baba Vanga described (baba Vanga is a phenomenon like Nostradamus, had insanely accurate predictions) . Everything when completely dark when US military arrived, most of the ppl involved are dead, the ones left went completely silent and the whole operation was labeled as fraud , organized to milk government money and all the psychics discredited.

My grandfather was one of the soldiers who was involved with the digging. Although he never saw anything supernatural, he always told us stories of equipment that stops working , soldiers who have headaches , consistent humming sound coming from the ground. It wasn't a staircase, but a spiral tunnel . The walls looked like man-made.

I personally remember the conditions in Eastern Europe in the 1990s. After the fall of the regime in the USSR, abandoned construction sites were everywhere. If a hole was dug somewhere, no one bothered to fill it up. As children, we loved playing in such places. In the case of the Bulgarian village of Tsarichina, the mystery lies in the fact that someone actually took the trouble to cover the hole. It probably wasn’t just out of consideration for the villagers, to prevent it from becoming a dangerous playground for local kids. Barbed wire would have sufficed for that.
I come from Slovakia. My hometown, Nitra, also has a mysterious location with alleged paranormal activity: a mountain range called Tribeč. The hills there are about 800 - 600 meters above sea level, and this small mountain range is surrounded by villages and cities, with hiking trails everywhere. Even so, every few years or so, people disappear there without a trace.

Watching this video sent chills down my spine. My grandmother used to tell us stories about a secret project in our village back in 1990, but we always thought they were just old legends. She was one of the few locals who worked on it, and she never really talked about what happened, but every time someone asked, her eyes would go dark, and she'd warn us to never go near the site. It's eerie to think this might be the same operation she was part of... Some secrets really are better left buried...

AJ is such a cool and pleasant dude and I remember at one point they had doubts about continuing with Hecklefish. I'm so glad they didn't scrap him. It's the perfect combination.

Anyone remember Reading Rainbow?! We would watch it every Friday in school and I always looked forward to it. TWF should definitely be shown in schools or at least in history classes!
Ohhh .. you re one of those people that believes anything if the person talking sounds believable.... No, the why files should NOT be shown in history class!! During recess maybe, because it's for entertainment, NOT education.90% of the show is speculation, at best. 50% of the shows are folklore. And then it ends with AJ giving us the things he thought was important about the story and then gives his OPINION. Geez lol
