A bit late, but when using a Note 10+ and having it connected through Bluetooth, I'm able to control some native camera functions and switch gimbal mode while using the native app. I did set it up through the Moza app for updates first though.

You can use Filmic Pro but the only controls you’ll have is the shutter. Still a great option for the audio tools. Moza Genie app does not have audio level options.

Moza Mini Mi is great! It does help to have the wireless charging option but if you’re looking to use the ultra wide camera is a bit tricky and I prefer the MX for that. Great options nonetheless.

Honestly I’d keep it. The MX is fantastic but since you already have a good gimbal idk if it would make a lot of sense to go through the process. Both have equal performance in stabilization as well as most modes.
I bought it. I have iPhone X IOS 14.0.1. Latest versions. The Moza Genie app screens do not look the same as any I find on TH-cam. Do not have the gear setting icon/selection. The Trajectory Delay runs but doesn’t produce/save a video. I did the firmware update. Tried uninstalling the app. Tried a Samsung A51, The screens are same as the iPhone. The Trajectory mode works on the Samsung. The Samsung made me register, the iPhone did not.
Is it ppssible to lock exposure? And regarding external mic, can the mozza app use external mic instead of camera mic, which I can select between two...thx bro, love your review. Indonesia

Hi Emt films ! m facing a Problem i have vivo v20 n after making video on magic mode of moza mini mx the videos is saved to local folder but its not playable. The notification says : We will request the network to download the magic template from the cloud. And then after pushing the download button. Another notification says : there are no templates available for the current firmware . What should i do Please help !
Thank you for the information. Too bad it lacks motion time lapse as it is a great feature and now common to most smart phone gimbles. Otherwise I really like the unit but the absence of motion time lapse is a deal breaker for me.

It says the payload is up to 9.9 oz. which is exactly what mine is with the case. I don't want to take off the case to use it, so how sure can I be that my phone is (11 Pro) going to fit with the case on? Also, can it shoot extra wide lens without the gimbal showing on the screen?

Not sure but as long as it has a 1/4 inch screw you should be able to mount it. Be careful though. The phone grip itself might not be optimal for fast speeds.
Interesting competitor to the Feiyu Tech Vlog pocket and Hohem isteady X, but the question is - can it support ultra wide without it popping up occasionally on the smaller phones that do have it too like the 11Pro(not max) ? In most of your broll footage it feels the phone (your Max) is still ofset a bit , was that by incident or you have to ofset it to not see the gimbal on ultra wide ?
The design allows for the ultra wide lens without any obstruction but definitely requires a bit of an adjustment to the initial placement if the phone has a center camera placement rather than the top corner. Tried it on my S10+ and you can see the gimbal a bit on photo mode if using ultra wide without adjusting it on the grip. Hope this helps!
is there any video quality option on genie app? this is one thing missing on dji mimo, 4k footage of mimo is totally crap with osmo mobile 3, it's only 17mbps
As it turns out no. But when paired directly to the phone the shutter works with the likes of Filmic Pro and Moment Pro Cam for that higher bit rate. Hope this helps! 🤘🏼
Nice review style covering the main features. If you do a future review could you include some sports or action shots to show the speed of reaction? Thanks. Oh and as others have said a time lapse motion tracker and dolly zoom feature would have been preferred over so many templates.
They are both great and share a similar design. Stabilization wise they are very similar everything else is will be determined by their software and of course your needs. If you need portability the iSteady takes the win.

Osmo Mobile 3 has a 230g payload capacity while the Moza Mini MX has a 280g payload capacity. Just tried my 11 Pro Max with a Sandmarc lens and it worked great! 🤘🏼

With the Moza Genie app you can turn on or off anti shake which is digital image stabilization. Not an option on the DJI Mimo app but i'd rather have it on for smooth video. You can also use Filmic Pro for more manual controls!

I will really appreciate if you can help me with one query. When I hold the gimbal & walk down the steps or the hallway, the gimbal keeps on panning. I do like the dji osmo 3. But the fact that im not able to do live streaming is a deal breaker 😔...the reason I need it is for live streaming specifically.
It has a larger grip area but even if it fits I recommend a thiner case or no case since the balance might be off at times. Tried it with moment case as well as a leather case for my 11 Pro and worked fine.
You could use Filmic Pro and use the Moza Mini MX shutter button to start and stop recording when paired in the phone settings. Hopefully Filmic Pro becomes compatible in the future.
Sorry I forgot to ask one question more to you 😁 Is this MX can be used for charging the smartphone? Or what version of moza can do that? Are you already compare MX with DJI Osmo Mobile 3 in your video? Mmm...I think I ask you two questions finally. Sorry 🤭😁

It’s very similar to the iSteady X but with a bit more functionality in the moza app. The isteady X is smaller though.

You can but it will be unstable at high speed or or bad road. And there will. And there will be alot of up and down gitter in video.

Yep this a new feature for our MOZA Genie App. The App should be used with MOZA Mini Series gimbals, available on both Android and iOS.

How strong are the gimbal motors in comparison to the osmo mobile 3 because my Samsung Note 9 (201g) was to heavy for the Osmo.
The iphone 12 pro max will weight up to 250gram so the motors need to be strong without making noise.

What a fantastic video! Gives you the complete analysis of the device. I bought the device yesterday. I am completely new to using a gimbal and I have never used one ever. I will really appreciate if you can help me with one query. When I hold the gimbal & walk down the steps or the hallway, the gimbal keeps on panning. How do I lock the axis so that the gimbal does not go left or right and I can keep my shot steady? Thanks

Does this work with a otter box case on my 11 pro
It has a larger grip area but even if it fits I recommend a thiner case or no case since the balance might be off at times. Tried it with moment case as well as a leather case for my 11 Pro and worked fine.

Can you use it with filmic pro
You could use Filmic Pro and use the Moza Mini MX shutter button to start and stop recording when paired in the phone settings. Hopefully Filmic Pro becomes compatible in the future.

Yes it is compatible! Some shooting modes may var prom phone to phone as well as resolution options but it definitely works!

Depends on budget. Both with stabilize your shots almost identically. Software layout is also something to consider. Both are great options.
