Seeing your video saved so much money from the stealership, and I used same parts they would have over charged me for as well. Thank you.
This made my day. Glad to have helped! Have a great weekend!!!
Good Job👍
Saved time & $ . This is by far the most helpful video I found!
do you remember what the torque specs were for the water pump pulley and tensioner pulley?
I never removed the tensioner, and don’t have the torque specs unfortunately. I do believe it’s reverse threaded (“lefty tighty righty loosey”).
Will the ECU be operational when plugged back in or will it need a diagnostic tool from the dealer to program it to work?
It'll be fine. There was no check engine light, and the modules that show any errors will eventually redo their self test and update on their own. There was no check engine light, etc. I used an Xtools D7 ODBII scanner to erase the error codes from the modules immediately.
Their is no need to reprogram ecu?
No need to.
That’s not easy regular water pump to replace it. You have to know what you doing. It’s hard to do in the shop. Do you imagine if you do on the floor how hard will be and how long will take?Lexus warranty is paid almost 9 hours and it takes almost a day if you do first time. So you saved $2,500 labor right there.
