    Toro makes great mowers! 4 years in on my TimeCutter 50 cutting between 45-50 yards a week here in Tampa Bay. Running strong with basic maintenance. May not be for everyone but works for me- a penny saved is a penny earned:)

    Both the new 2020 Titan and 2020 TimeCutter have a 3 year 300 hour Commercial warranty and a 3 year unlimited hour residential warranty, same 10 gauge frame, same 10 gauge deck. The only difference is the Titan has extra hydro pumps for the transmissions and has the extra parking brake. Locking the bars out on the Titan will still lock the wheels. It just also has an additional parking brake. The TimeCutter has cast aluminum front wheel axles/casters that can be replaced for cheap if the mower runs into something. If you run the Titan into something and bend the front steel axle tube or bend the frame then the mower is pretty much totaled out. So yes, the TimeCutter can be used for Commercial use and is covered under a commercial warranty.

    I have the time cutter 54 I was looking at the titan my ride but there were very few differences between the 2 granted the titan had bigger front wheels and more adjustable deck height, these were simple things that didn’t quite justify the added price of the titan. I decided on the time cutter because it had the best balance on hills and seamed less likely to flip. The decks were the same trans and engine. Also the time cutter has a 300hour commercial warranty. Granted I am using it for home but my front lawn is 18acrs back is 26 I have had it for 3 months now 130hours with out any issues

    I agree I started my business with the regular timecutter 50” kawi and I ended up selling it in year 1 because the deck simply couldn’t handle the work load. That being said it was 100% reliable and the homeowner I sold it to loves it. Its a great mower as long as you understand what it’s designed for. Keep up the good work!!

    A friend of mine ( landscaping pro for the past 25 years) bought a base model Raptor for small lawns back in '15... The unit is still going strong and has over 1200 hard commercial hours on it. Just saying. I bought the same model a month or so prior for my lawn, now has 325 easy residential hours on it and still like new.

    I was thinking of buying the Timecutter 50. I have 1 1/4 acres. How is Toro going to handle a warranty issue when the mower doesn't have an hour meter?

    • @colemorgan1823
      @colemorgan1823 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Install one for $15.

    • @NorthlanderMN
      @NorthlanderMN ปีที่แล้ว

      When your buying negotiate the hour meter in purchase. Have the dealer install it. Dealers will do this to get the sale. It’s a very small cost for them. Don’t let them charge you for this. They’re still making a healthy profit. Everyone is happy.
      If you buy from the big box store you’ll have to do this yourself if you want it. Toro should be adding the hour meter on the factory line. It’s cheap in the over things. They want people to change oil after 5 hrs of break in with the Toro engine. The hour meter will add to resale if you traded in or sell it. People don’t have to guess. I wouldn’t buy a used rider mower if no hour meter was on it.

    I think you did a good job of explaining the differences between the two. People are going to hate, but I can tell you don't sweat it. I purchased the timecutter 54 and cut about 1/4 acre of thick pasture. 8-10 inches tall on average. Thinking about taking it back and getting the Titan 54 (no my ride... Which was nice for the bumpy pasture). I looked at them in person and noticed the deck sits noticably higher on the Titan. Would it handle that taller grass better? Does the bullnose help with handling the grass volume?

    • @LawnCareRookie
      @LawnCareRookie  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you.
      Yes, I had no problems cutting lawns weekly with the Titan. It's meant to be more like a commercial mower. You'll definitely notice the difference!

    • @cablanchette1

      I'm wondering if you ended up getting the Titan with no my ride? I'm thinking about a Titan 60 inch with no my ride, but haven't demoed it yet, wondering how well it rides? And if the Titan has enough power to disperse the grass real well .. when it's thick and you still want to go fast
