  • We do a full review of the brand new Toro Titan 60" zero turn mower with the MyRide system. We partnered with Toro on this review. The mower was put through some tough tests here on our large acreage to see just what it could handle. Help support our family and channel! Shop Amazon through this link: www.amazon.com/shop/countryli....
    We were tough on this mower and will continue to be as we put it through another 4 month long performance test after which we will do a follow up review video for all of you. Toro did compensate us for this review.

    My Toro Titan was delivered to my place yesterday. 60 inches was the way to go!!! It took much fewer passes with this beast. The My Ride system was the real reason I bought this Toro and I didn't even feel anything the whole time I was mowing. Like sitting on a cloud. What a pleasure it is to mow now !!!

    Hi there, great video, thank you. I have a 9ac horse farm. With finished front/rear lawns and then paddocks that all need to get mowed. Fields are more uneven but rocks are easily avoidable and nothing as dense as what you have (although it can be thick). I've been using a John Deere X720 which is 13 years old. Its been doing the job but dust is a big issue for it and i'm hoping to speed up my cutting times. Any ideas how this would do with dust/pollen and cutting times vs a more traditional mower like the X720?

    • @CountryLivingExperience
      @CountryLivingExperience  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're welcome. A zero turn mower will cut down on mowing times considerably because of how fast you can transition in your turns. I can mow 5 acres in about an hour and 10 minutes. It is very dusty here and I have not had any issues. The commercial canister style air filter is really nice and easy to clean. Hope this helps.

      @@CountryLivingExperience Wonderful, thank you. It takes me 5+ hours to do just the front/back and fields and then a 1-2 more to do the bits around the barns. Anything to save me 7 hours/weekend is going to be super helpful.
      Follow up question since I have you on the line. For both fields and lawns mulching is more recommended from what I've read but it seems most ZT arent sold with mulching blades. What are your thoughts on mulching blades/mowers?
      Thanks again!

    • @CountryLivingExperience
      @CountryLivingExperience  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't really worry about mulching. It has never affected my property in the negative. They are not sold with mulching blades but my tractor brush hog (which I was using) doesn't mulch either.

    • @crabtrap
      @crabtrap 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rob_mason mulching can spread deasease to a yard but rember these zeroturns have an extremely fast blade speed.....meaning they mildly mulching the clippings anyway and tossing them. viturally the same effect. i have the same type property as you, just side discharge is fine OR a rear discharge zero turn

    • @rob_mason
      @rob_mason 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@crabtrap Thanks! I've been using my X720 with just side discharge. On the fields that's all I can do as it grows too fast/thick. For the front/back yards I've been bagging (24 bushel trac-vac) but that's a pain, slow, and another engine to deal with. Really depends if I can keep up with the mowing which is harder at the start of the season.

    I bought one of these fir $6200. The thing started leaking oil before 7 hours. The dealer stuffed a crank seal, sprayed off the belt, motor,, painted surfaces and sent it back. It was still leaking oil. The belt slips the oil leak was the same the thing looks terrible at 15 hours. I spent two hours trying to talk to someone at Toro. Their customer service people will NOT talk to customers. They just steer you to the dealer. When it went back to the dealer, they now say it’s an o ring. So at 15.5 hours, it’s had the motor pulled twice, the belt has been alternately soaked with oil and carb cleaner. (Toro won’t warranty that) the seat tracks were not greased so the dealer is going to squirt some WD40 on those (and all the surfaces under the seat. The dealer said that oil leaks happen all the time on these...they’re so used to that problem that the just shrug it off and say those are the ones that were built on Friday afternoon. Piece of junk, crappy build and ZERO response from Toro. You’d think that they would want the their products to hold oil longer than 7 hours. So disappointed with this thing. It’s awful. Don’t waste your money. Buy a slag, husky or something else. I expect to have to keep bringing it back for warrantee work until it falls apart 2 minutes after the warrantee runs out.

    GOOD LUCK USING THE WARRANTY! I took delivery of this mower in June of 2020. Got through the mowing season without incident. In November I cleaned it and put in in my barn.
    Out it came in April and during the first use of the season the belt broke, Tractor Supply was nice enough to give me a new belt. I installed it. Please note that I did not depend on the warranty to have this done by the service repair center. I installed the belt myself.
    All was well for several cuttings then the belt came off. Upon inspection there was a missing bolt and the spindle was loose. I got a new bolt from tractor supply and tightened the other bolts. Replaced the belt AGAIN.
    In June the belt broke once again. When I removed the deck cover I observed all four bolts were missing and and the threaded holes were stripped and enlarged in an oval shape making them useless.
    At no time was there an accident involving the mower. It never hit anything as can be seen by observing the deck itself. Why there has always been a problem with the mower deck is unknown to me at this time. But I can tell you for certain that there has been a problem with it from very early on in it's time of use. I don't know the experience that other owners of this unit have had, but I'm sure the people at Toro have some data of problems that others have experienced with the 60" deck.
    To say that this problem is not caused by a manufacturing issue is ridiculous. No one has told me what could have happened to have these belt problems. When I purchased the mower I was assured it had a three year warranty. In less than one year I began having belt problems.
    The result of these problems is an unusable mower. I am incurring expenses every week having to have a service cut my grass. This has not been a good purchase experience. The "authorized repair center" has told me it will cost more than $900 to repair it.

    • @CountryLivingExperience
      @CountryLivingExperience  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I bought one of these and it got an oil leak at 7 hours. Dealer stuffed a new seal in it and it still leaks. Dealer didn’t clean it up at all. Seat slider doesn’t work. Spent about 2 hours trying to talk to a technician at Toro. Got nowhere. Called their VP of customer service. He wouldn’t talk to me. I got Haimer other guy...Luis. He said that the best answer I could get from Toro corporation was going to be from the 24 year old kid that stuffed in the leaky new crank seal and smashed my throttle cable. Local dealer tried to get the local toro rep to call me. That was last week. I bought this pos on the name alone. In summary...I bought it for full price, it has 12 hours and it’s already been to the shop and is still leaking. Toro doesn’t want to even talk about what it would take to fix it. I deeply regret this purchase already. Toro...terrible products, terrible people, terrible company

      Hahahaha.....That is a strange comment Fred. This video is a test of a machine. Tests are challenging and simulate real world conditions. Homeowners often hit things with the discharge chute. This chute is designed very well to take hard hits.

      What are you talking about? Every manufacturer makes machines at various price points and you get what you pay for. This is not unique to any one manufacturer. I got my Toro Titan with my ride and the 60 inch deck going on 3 years ago and its used twice per week to keep my property in shape i have 5 acres of full lawn to mow and some areas of thicker brush and this machine runs like new to this day and is incredible condition. Very impressive and money very well spent on this machine. I couldnt be happier with Toro. Specifically this Model being built to a heavier duty spec in every way. You need to use the correct tool for the right job. I dont think its fair to knock Toro for some baseless claim like that.
