- In advance of releasing the Hawk T1/A Trainer for Microsoft Flight Simulator we're releasing a series of preview tutorial videos.
In this video we show how to configure the Hawk for Takeoff. It's a slightly longer video and will act as a good tutorial pre and post release.

If I had to choose between pulling out all my toenails with a pair of pliers or listening to the guy narrate this video, I would not have any toenails.
So excited for this to come out. Hopefully can edit the map to be the GTN750 mod (know not realistic but prefer it) but otherwise looks fricking amazing as is! Keep up the great work and I can't wait to try it when out

Great looking jet! Hopefully someone will develop a high quality RAF Valley and perhaps a "Mach loop" add-on with detailed landmarks along the route.
WOW the takeoff at the end is mindblowing. DCS should beware! My only gripe is that this GPS look ridiculous, hopefully it can be improved, would like to have it at the side. Optionally having the improved 750 like in the Arrow would also be nice. But it should probably be flown VOR and without GPS anyway.

Is there any way to stop the aircraft taking over the power management/flight control surfaces when cleared to land? It's really annoying as often it forces the aircraft can't pull up and ends up crashing. Thanks in advance
I've now downloaded the Hawk - I have the default set up at the moment with a Thrustmaster controller. I landed at Manchester - the brakes are very ineffective, despite landing ok, I still over ran the runway end at 50kts. Any way of increasing the brake effectiveness?
I remember seeing in one of the preview videos before the sim released the switches turning blue to show you what to do. I don’t have the sim yet.
Is that feature available for this so us novices can have our hands held the first few times around?

For some reason I have the throttle unlocked although when I increase it dosent move and always flips back to idle

It'll release next week as long as the next SU doesn't cause any major problems. We can't say for sure just at the moment.

Looks good, but is there a way to get rid of the display that's blocking a lot of the view right in front of you? that thing is going to drive me nuts in VR :)

Hopefully one day we get a SDK update that lets devs have afterburner/mach effects.
Wouldn’t be needed with the hawk as it is subsonic (can go supersonic in a dive though)
we already have afterburner and mach effects in the game

well those are coming on Nov 18th with the release of the official F/A-18 Super Hornet.
@@ruggerorandisi7785 I mean they are not actual effects they are 3D sprites that just appear around the aircraft when certain conditions are met the sonic booms on those aircraft just happen when it hits an exact speed it has nothing to do with the atmospheric conditions/ their flight levels etc. The flames are not actual flame effects they are for the most part .gif files wrapped around a 3D object. but yes I am hoping the Top Gun DLC gives devs a lot of new toys to play with in the SDK.
First off, my plane wont roll fast at all, next, i have to continously trim the aircraft to stop it pulling up or nosediving and when i do, whenever i pull a bit of g the aircraft shakes violently. The aircraft is flying really weirdly and i dont know how to fix it, is it the flight model cuz msfs said the plane hasnt fully downloaded so flight model will be unusual as soon as i finished the download but its been two days and its still not fixed😢😢

If a download has failed in any way the plane won't load at all, you wouldn't be able to start flying it. The best thing to do is open a support ticket with our team via the support section on our website. Do that and the team will investigate this for you. Ok?
@justflight thx, i ahve tried redownloading it a few times and clearing space but it just seems really wrong to what i see on videos, just doesn't match at all so yh ill see wht ur team say, thx for the reply

The FM need some serious work .. extrem maneuvers are NOT good!! we need a serious update. as for July 4th 2023 I do not recommend it for the wrong flight feel.. I do like the cockpits and 3D work.. very nice. yaw over controlled and other little teaks I have to correct them myself to fly ok
When's the T1 Hawk dropping on Xbox?
When MS have sorted the WASM issues out with Xbox. Soon after that we hope.
@@justflight I just saw your reply just now, thought I'd never get a response, but thank you so much for replying back. I've been highly anticipating the Hawk T1, it's a masterpiece! My life will be complete when this releases on Series X. I'm dying to fly this plane, once this releases it'll be an instant purchase for me and many others. Fingers crossed Microsoft gets the WASM sorted out soon.

Don't know is the answer really. It depends on how long MS take to evaluate and test it when they receive it from us and if any tweaks are required it'll add time to the process. Probably looking a couple of months if I'm honest.
@@justflight oh I thought you’d release to pc and Xbox at the same time 🙁 might just have to buy someone’s else’s to keep me going
@@Callum.L.B It's not down to us Callum. We release the PC version and then we'll send code to Microsoft who sort getting it on sale from their store in their own time after they have evaluated etc. It's not normally a quick process though.
@@equious8413 Understand the frustration but be careful with your language, your posts will end up being removed so no good to anyone. We didn't think anyone was blaming us, the question was asked and I was just helping with an answer. Basically our add-ons are more complex than others, way more custom code to deal with. When they try and add their encryption it's resulting in problems. If our models were way simpler and used less custom code everything would be far smoother but that's not the route we wanted to take hence these delays. Frustrating all round but it does look like since the last round of checks and help from us we're getting somewhere. Famous last words and all that....
