*The essential thing that everyone should be thinking about right now is investing in non-government sources of income. Especially in light of the current global economic crisis. It is still a wonderful moment to invest in gold, silver, digital money, and stocks.*

Wow....,I also work with Mary Margaret Cartier, I met her 2 months ago at a seminar in New York after which I invested €150,000. So far so good! I've made a little above $70k in return.
you’re right! To obtain a financial freedom, one need to be a business owner, an investor or both, generating passive income particularly on a monthly basis
The feature that I have not seen talked about enough of is the Landfill expansion. Being able to create the size of the landfill is so amazing and realistic instead of those lame side by side plops. I also have seen this expanded to the farms! Even better!
Love it all, but ONE remark: In the city where I live University buildings are placed all over the city and not all clustered together. So having these 'upgrades' all joined together is a cool feature, but placing them all over town should be possible too. But again, LOVE what you are doing CO!
i like how they bringed back a similar system that we were used to see at simcity, giving upgrades to the buldings, i think that was one of the things that i missed in the first cities skylines, and now it's here! so happy for that game development.
Please add traffic stops to the game! Like if someone runs a red light and a police officer sees them, the officer will pull them over! Also add that when any Emergency Vehicle has their Emergency Lights on they will move out of the way or pull over if it's safe.
The Progression Part of the game is by far the most suprised about, none of the city building games (like Cities: Skyline and Simcity) Have this kind of feature, So the 3 month wait for the game is Worth it, Keep it up!
Great to see these deeper dives. but surely the medical clinic extension wing has an extra 0 on upkeep, currently looks more financially beneficial to just build another. :)
I love this! Everything you've shown so far looks and feels like a genuine evolution from what we had in Cities: Skylines I. The systems are deeper and more complex in realistic ways, and I love all the little details you put in after evaluating player feedback (the district tool's accuracy for example! 😁 Definitely the case for me haha). This is how you develop a video game! 😌
I find it odd that the primary school has a higher default capacity than the high school. The primary school has a capacity of 1,000 students whereas the high school has a capacity of 800 students. I don’t know of anywhere that has larger primary schools. Usually you have lots of small local primary schools so students can get there easily and then one large high school so they can offer more classes. Most primary schools I see tend to have about 300-800 students whereas high schools tend to have about 1,000-1,600 students. It feels very unrealistic for the primary school to have a larger capacity.
The primary school students are smaller and so more of them can fit in the same space, the game clearly takes this into account and so that is why you have less capacity in a similar sized building when the students become larger.
here in Brazil both primary schools and high schools are in the 300-800 students range, the actually big schools usually are big because they have both primary and high education. High schools in general are rare, the government always build integrated primary and high schools and it usually is more lucrative for private schools to also be integrated, the purpose of a institution being only high school here usually involves a lot of focus on studying the ENEM (the national exam to enter a public university) and other exams, so the people studying in those tend to be trying for a very competitive degree like medical or law school. So in the end, a primary school can be big (in more populated cities), but a high school kinda can't (atleast not alone). TLDR: I want integrated schools in the game :c
@@zeroibis but usually a primary school is in a much smaller building so it’s weird that they would be the same size. Also, kids in primary school run around a lot more than teens in high school so they would need more space to play and run.
My guess is the primary school has a higher starting capacity but the high-school will be more upgradable to have a higher total capacity when fully upgraded. But I see your point on the realism...
I don't think I've ever been more excited for a game release! I'm so happy that the developers have chosen to seemingly make small, but useful improvements, rather than trying to make a completely new game where it isn't needed.
For example, I would like to be able to place trees in the garden of a university, arrange the position of the lighting, arrange the location of the trash cans and walkways.
I keep loving the fact a lot of the DLC features from CS1 is being adapted into the base game of CS2...love to see that. I also am excited to see what expansions we could possible get in the future (aside from asset packs). c:
Q: does many City services building look different depending on if the map is EUrope or American based? many buildings so far to me feel more American. (and in CS1 for a long time we only had one design till they added an alternate version. these versions tended to look more older rather then EU but it was a nice difference in the end.)
super excited to see the services will function more realisticly, I nolonger need 6 hospitals in a tiny city anymore! Its crazy to see how well the changes to the sequel are, youve really looked at the issues and complaints and fixed them or listened to what people seemed to love, especially from DLCs.
It’s amazing how much thought in detail they put into it, but ignore the most obvious most basic component of any city… the fact that there is property ownership. It still blows my mind that everybody’s still using the same ancient simcity mentality that it’s just one big free open space and everybody can do whatever they like. No matter where you are in the world all cities develop because someone decided to subdivide a lot or put a road through their lot and build a few houses or put in a building. I don’t see any reason especially how nice that polygon tool works that when you load a map it would be subdivided into two or 300 different random size large lots that you can then subdivider put roads through and it would create really cool, unique and very realistic cities. Lots can be grids, lots would be polygon shapes on curved roads that made sense and are conformed to a certain minimum size for a single-family home or whatever. It wouldn’t require any additional thinking from the end-user unless they wanted to micromanage it if they were doing a sub development for a McMansion community or some thing but for the most part, it would all just be automatic. You lay down the road at throws down lots based on the property it’s in. Then you would have really cool random looking cities instead of just big ugly grids and squares on curved roads.
Please tell me more about that gated community district policy. I NEED to know! Does it lower crime rate? Does it boost happiness and well-being? Does it draw a fence around the entire district? Does it place a gate on roads leaving the district?
The video itself shows a description of the policy. "Only people living or working within the district are allowed in. This increases the well-being of its citizens and reduces crime in the area. Does not affect City Services."
Thank you so much for expanding services. I'm a huge fan of the original Cities Skylines, but I felt like the original system was a huge hurdle when you're designing a new neighborhood/district. When you build a big city you always end up with 30 police stations, 30 fire stations, 30 doctors offices, 30 crematoriums, 30 elementary schools, etc. I'm hoping we can move students to their respective schools with a well thought out transit system, because it's devastating when your high capacity high school as 1/3rd of its students, and 10 blocks away citizens are crying about being deprived of a high school, even though a free bus route operates for all the schools. Really pleased with everything we've learned about the sequel so far. Great work!
I hope we'll be able to put internet antennae on top of tall buildings like it's done irl, instead of having to put down awkward towers in the middle of a city
I love everything here EXCEPT for low framerate in some of the clips. Might be the beta but I still have flashbacks from KSP2 and their videos and release version... Do you have any plans to release additional dev diary focused on modding tools/editors in game?

Two questions: 1) If I preorder (on Steam) the base game, will I be able to get later on the extras with the Ultimate edition for the remaining price or would it be better to order that one from the get go as a bundle? 2) Does anyone in the office like Korpiklaani? And yes, I saw motorcycles now have drivers on them! Amazing! No more Ghost Riders.
Gaming 101: Don't pre-order games (or any other digital products), specially not from a well funded studio/publisher. Always confirm the game is actually good before you buy it. Talk is cheap.
4:28 would have been really really cool if the landfill does not automatically fill up, but rather fills up in time in relation to the actual amount of garbage / usage percentage of the landfill. I think SC4 had a similar feature. It's small, but super cool and gives more life to it. Also you can immediately see if an expansion of the landifll is needed or if it is still fine.
6:00 - I hope this isn’t final. I liked that in Cities Skylines outside connections carried on and slowly faded away like the rest of the landscape. It made it more immersive. Immediately disappearing at a dotted line at the edge of the city takes me out of it.
The haze at the edge of the cities to cover up those outside connections wasn't so good though. Prefer this, but maybe if there was like a proper tunnel or something they can go into it would look pretty nice.
I’ve played so many hours of Cities 1 and own many of the DLCs I’m glad not only is the second game incorporating some DLCs but also improving on mechanics!

Why would there be pedestrians on the road? That’s not something I see in real life unless it a shared road for pedestrians and cars or the odd person crossing the road in the wrong place.
There are a lot of promises, but, first of all, many of the announced things have already been in the game in one form or another, but, okay, the management of this staff has changed - we'll take it, but if in October, people will see that roads still can not be built with a smooth descent, that people in line at the bus stop are not embarrassed that there are several hundred people in front of them and will wait a few days for their turn instead of using the alternative...I don't envy you guys) every angry review in steam will be well deserved in that case.
This would be awesome to see. The custom tracks people have made with mods look great but are a ton of work to piece together plus don't offer any functionality. If they do a park expansion, a race track or even a go-kart track would be really cool.
Yes! Honestly the devs should definitely expand on many other aspects more than just zoning and such. Imagine building a motorcity full of drivable vehicles and such, there's a great opportunity there. The first person could be better and more fleshed out.

Listen, i love y’all as a game studio simply for you PR & customer service capabilities, it truly is the best of any game studio & the incredible work y’all have put in because you really care is outstanding please keep it coming. 😁
I cant wait to see how the team is Goin'!
That is superb to hear! Glad we have extensions and can customize our buildings like that in Simcity 2013. Really enjoyed that feature and now, it's here!
Looks like they used Rush University Medical Center in Chicago as an inspiration! 4:33
That's the first thing I thought.
I saw them drawing a district in one of the other videos and was excited af and I love that we'll have a proper distrct drawing tool now. Hope it can snap to roads and stuff, so we can simply follow roads like real life districts do most of the time. Or, at the very least, if that's not how it works in the base game, that the new mechanic allows for modders to create that instead
Simcity 4 + Cities XXL + Cities: Skylines and Mods = Cities: Skylines II
I think you created this game by listening to your users! Good luck with your work!
5:56 this gives us a slight glimpse at the scale of the map until we learn more as you can see the limit line.
I would have preferred a Bézier curve over a polygon for the district area, but it's an improvement over the brush tool nonetheless.
Honestly I don't think I could be more grateful for these updates, the transparency and the new updates to old systems is incredible to hear. Well done guys! Can't wait to play it! :)
Would be incredible if you could import a roadmap or like a JSON or vector file and it auto create roads. That way you could make real cities in a snap. Perhaps a mod? If I could mod, I would do it.
I recognize the inspiration for the building at 4:40 ! It’s the Rush Hospital in my city, Chicago !
*The essential thing that everyone should be thinking about right now is investing in non-government sources of income. Especially in light of the current global economic crisis. It is still a wonderful moment to invest in gold, silver, digital money, and stocks.*
My first experience with Mrs Margaret Cartier gave me assurance and confidence that has made me to invest without fear of losing, I really appreciate her efforts and transparency..
Wow....,I also work with Mary Margaret Cartier, I met her 2 months ago at a seminar in New York after which I invested €150,000. So far so good! I've made a little above $70k in return.
._what spp her with this⤵️
@Sangsi963she will guide you ☝️☝️⤴️
you’re right! To obtain a financial freedom, one need to be a business owner, an investor or both, generating passive income particularly on a monthly basis
holy shit the types of products is way deeper than I expected.
That district tool is gonna solve a lot of imperfections, and I am gonna love that
The feature that I have not seen talked about enough of is the Landfill expansion. Being able to create the size of the landfill is so amazing and realistic instead of those lame side by side plops. I also have seen this expanded to the farms! Even better!
Woulda look at that, developers taking player feedback and implementing it in the game. This is becoming one of my favorite developers!
Love it all, but ONE remark: In the city where I live University buildings are placed all over the city and not all clustered together. So having these 'upgrades' all joined together is a cool feature, but placing them all over town should be possible too. But again, LOVE what you are doing CO!
The new landfill tool means I can make Trash Mountain without needing to mod the game.
😂😂😂
i like how they bringed back a similar system that we were used to see at simcity, giving upgrades to the buldings, i think that was one of the things that i missed in the first cities skylines, and now it's here! so happy for that game development.
Please add traffic stops to the game! Like if someone runs a red light and a police officer sees them, the officer will pull them over! Also add that when any Emergency Vehicle has their Emergency Lights on they will move out of the way or pull over if it's safe.
Vehicles will attempt to move over for emergency vehicles. It was shown in one of the other blogs.
@@cooper45300 Oh, Must not have seen it then.
OH MY GOD!!!! THE HOSPITAL IS BASED ON RUSH UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER IN CHICAGO!!!!!!!!!!!! i used to go to this hospital all the time lol 3:03
More and more hype every week! Can't wait!
the new district tool (and its applications that have been seen other where like landfills) looks absolutely amazing.
3:00 Shouldn't the snow plow be dropping salt?
@@zeroibis Are you joking? There really isn't that much difference between desk sizes.
here in Brazil both primary schools and high schools are in the 300-800 students range, the actually big schools usually are big because they have both primary and high education.
I’m sure there will be an assortment of props available in this game.
Im just blown away like wow how can you have so many management types for one game and im super super excited to play this.
Make it an option to disable certain or all outside connection Services.
I keep loving the fact a lot of the DLC features from CS1 is being adapted into the base game of CS2...love to see that. I also am excited to see what expansions we could possible get in the future (aside from asset packs). c:
My favorite change are the upgraded roads
Q: does many City services building look different depending on if the map is EUrope or American based?
many buildings so far to me feel more American. (and in CS1 for a long time we only had one design till they added an alternate version. these versions tended to look more older rather then EU but it was a nice difference in the end.)
Devs interacting with the community is AWESOME. Love you guys.
super excited to see the services will function more realisticly, I nolonger need 6 hospitals in a tiny city anymore!
Its crazy to see how well the changes to the sequel are, youve really looked at the issues and complaints and fixed them or listened to what people seemed to love, especially from DLCs.
Give us a 'SIMCOPTER' like game to play with CS 2! Pleaasssssssssssssssssssse
up!
I think it was mentioned in the forums that gated community blocks traffic if the destination of the agent does not belong to that district.
Internet should also benefit reaction time of ambulance, police, and firefighters
I love everything here EXCEPT for low framerate in some of the clips. Might be the beta but I still have flashbacks from KSP2 and their videos and release version... Do you have any plans to release additional dev diary focused on modding tools/editors in game?
I'm one kid who is famous for playing cities. Skylines can't wait for this it is the most exciting thing this year. I also really love the community t
you're all nice people thank you
How are you famous for playing it?
@@rachelcookie321 maybe they meant like in their friend group or something
Two questions:
1) If I preorder (on Steam) the base game, will I be able to get later on the extras with the Ultimate edition for the remaining price or would it be better to order that one from the get go as a bundle?
Hmm everything looks really great expect road texture, it doesn't look good..in my opinion
I am concerned about the same thing. I don't like the white lines on roads. I hope there's an option to disable them.
Love these weekly insight videos - the game looks incredible. Looking forward to playing this.
I cant wait for this games release. I already Pre-Ordered!
2:34 sims on the motorcycle !
I’ve played so many hours of Cities 1 and own many of the DLCs I’m glad not only is the second game incorporating some DLCs but also improving on mechanics!
how much of what youre showing will actually be in game on release. considering the bridge and ports are already a planned dlc...
They didn't showcase piers, drawbridges and lighthouses so everything they actually show will actually be part of the base game.
@@deltak5457 the ports that they show during the main trailer is an expansion according to steam :)
@@tessierrr Where do they actually say that?
1. Ships are a base game transportation type so are the belonging basic harbors as showcased. These were showcased also on Dev Diary #3 in more detail.
2. Even if the DLC is named "Bridges and Ports Expansion" it's about marine industries, drawbridges and waterfronts. It's an expansion of the existing "just plop" harbors, just like the name even says...
@@deltak5457 thats what they get for going for the million dlc route from the start, confusion :) wont be preordering that shit, will wait to see whats actually in :)
@@tessierrr Honestly, the only single person which seems to be confused by not reading info available seems you. However, it's your decision to do whatever you want, so is mine to let you troll alone :)
If internet service is available, would the mail.sysyem be more important such as companies using online shops, cotizens buying online and the mail service deliverying said products thru the mail system? Diateibutins centers and be added. Perhaps adding a parcel seevice like UPS and Fed Ex.
While driving cars in my city I noticed there was no pedestrians on my roads (i understand the game wouldnt want me ramming into pedestrians but it takes the life out of the city while we drive)
So hopefully a change?
Why would there be pedestrians on the road? That’s not something I see in real life unless it a shared road for pedestrians and cars or the odd person crossing the road in the wrong place.
There are a lot of promises, but, first of all, many of the announced things have already been in the game in one form or another, but, okay, the management of this staff has changed - we'll take it, but if in October, people will see that roads still can not be built with a smooth descent, that people in line at the bus stop are not embarrassed that there are several hundred people in front of them and will wait a few days for their turn instead of using the alternative...I don't envy you guys) every angry review in steam will be well deserved in that case.
hoping for a motorsports DLC, for us car enthusiasts who also love city building games~
@@michaelscott9040 Funny enough, there is actually an ancient spin off game called Streets of Simcity that let you import cities from Simcity 2000 and drive around them (or blow them up with car mounted weapons). It wasn't the greatest game but it was a pretty novel idea. And had a pretty good sound track like most of the Maxis games from that era.
Was there any information about multi-level parking lots, underground parking?
With a new system, this would be very helpful.
Suggestion: Use a language AI model to create a simulated TV news channel
I really can't wait for this. Everything in this is what I've always wanted for Cities: Skylines 1. I am so excited!
Please make it an option to switch the feedback from Stars to the happy faces
I’m so glad there are no more constant death waves! That was so annoying. I want to buy this game now. *_NOW!_*
It will be nice from you to add relegion services in cities skylines 2 ..
Shoose your cities relegion option ( Islam , Christianity , Jewish , .... ) to have a population on the religion chosen within some other religion in the same map ( little percentage ) add adding religions growth that effect your economy and population growth and religion just to have some realistic in Cities skylines 2 ...
PLEASE NOOOOOOOOOOO
@@saschab.5154 why no ?
Will be great they make a "event" pack, that allow we do events and parties in the city like carnaval, lgbt parade, rock shows in some avenue, customized the way we wanted
I also want this, octoberfest, christmas, 4th of july, my city has something called aloha festival
Plop
plop!
Add militery army and multiple player trade and war it will be good.
Am I wrong here, are they releasing episodes every day?? I'm too hyped. Stop. I can't wait for release 😭
Edit: You can finally unlock things at your own pace now?!? Now I don't have to be bombarded by Chirper to put the new stuff down when my city explodes with tens of thousands of people every minute.

Ok, this is the video I was waiting for! Wow!
Just post the video instead of clogging up feeds with Premieres and Notify Me's.
6:19 It would be very cool if buildings would adapt to the street. As you can see here, the building is now partially away from the street due to the bend in the road.
