So refreshing to see you flying the flag for traditional British cuisine that is not often seen. I'm amazed this channel isn't more popular. Time for a cup of tea!
Thank you Lawrence, for another decadently delicious recipe. Why England is not noted for the incredible tastiness of its cuisine I do not know. As always, I look forward to your videos on TH-cam. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Hi Lawrence! I've only just discovered your channel and amazed it isn't way more popular than it is. I'm from West Sussex, and wondered if you've tried making a 'sussex pond pudding'? It's got the pastry of a steak and kidney pudding but it's filled with sugar and butter, so when you cut into it it makes a 'pond' around the pudding (don't forget to serve it in a dish with sides to contain the mess) - great fun
That Double Gloucester looks a bit pale! Lidl in the UK do some pretty decent DG, but obv in other places it can be tough to get decent stuff. I think a tomato or apple-based chutney would match well with this.
A British version of Sicilian Arancini, rice v barley, I think the barley is healthier. The similarity is the use of cheese, breading and deep frying. Would it be sacrilege to eat the barballs with beer instead of tea ?

Thank you for the kind words
And thank you for reminding me about Sussex pond pudding. I saw one being made once but have never tried it.
There is a county in Virginia named Gloucester. Our east coast is full of red coat things.

I won’t judge you if you enjoyed them with beer
