Ok so I have a stupid theory: Michael said that Charlie already possessed Marrione, NOT Marionette, and Sammy now possesses Marrione, and Charlie (according to lore) possesses Marionette. Michael also said Charlie POSESSED not POSESSES, meaning that she obviously left the animatronic. Marrione/Nightmarrione is a nightmare animatronic, and Nightmare said Sammy looked familiar, so what if he’s back to look for smth that has to do with Nightmare??
